Well your team was just going to be beat again so consider this a present of one less loss this year.

On a neutral field, UT probably wins.
At Tiger Stadium, LSU gets the W.
UT and LSU are about as even as you can get, and maybe UT is a little better.

Someone has been reading about “returning production” and “all the people LSU lost” but hasn’t been paying attention to the culture of excellence that has been installed in the LSU football building.
Listen to the recruit interviews, coach interviews, player interviews...you can hear it not just in what they say, But also in the sheer confidence they exude, the standard of performance they speak of, the work they know they have to put in that they embrace. Everyone is on the same page.
Texas has no such culture. They just all want to say “we’re baaaaack” without having to do the work to put all the pieces in place that are necessary to actually BE back.

Lol. Sure.

UT suffered a lot of injuries last year, which is why their record wasn’t the best.
They gave us all we could handle, and it took a 3rd and 17 conversion to win. They gave OU all they could handle. They slaughtered a real good Utah team.
They return one of the best QBs in the nation in Ehlinger. They return a lot of starters, including Brennan Eagles, a WR all LSU fans wanted.
If UT stays healthy, they will be on LSU’s level. Doesn’t mean they would have won, but it was a game that could have gone either way.

LSU wasn’t losing that game. If they had to score 100 to win it, they would have. Same goes for every other game last season. That’s not just a talent thing, it’s a culture.

Too bad for caller ID, because every time Verge calls to reschedule they won't answer the phone.

LSU will have a much better defense this year, and played possibly its worse defensive game of the year (Ole Miss?) at Texas.
Texas is still a possible top 20 team, LSU a top 10 team.

They were better than their record and certainly a better team when we played them compared to where they were after injuries took their toll. Nevertheless, we're coming off the greatest season in CFB history and have a lot more going for us than they do, so I'm not particularly sure why you'd (@St Jean The Baptiste) give them the nod on a neutral site.
Do I think it'd be competitive? Sure. However, they are not presently deserving of anyone favoring them over us in any capacity.

delusional and irrelevant. The game didn’t go another way. In reality. We beat their arse in their house after talking all that Texas shite. They had all the motivation and hype they needed and they lost. They are not on LSU’s level at this time. They will also be looking for a new coach in a year or two tops.

Please explain how LSU is a level ahead of UT.

With an unseasoned D LSU was a level above their season's best, even with UT's halftime cheat.
Pretty sorry to stoop that low and still lose
For thre transitive subscribers, winning by 5 TDs sure Trumps losing by one vs same opp.

They will have to live with having their season derailed at HOME by the future GOAT National Champion.
Sucks for them. If they really want the game, they’ll schedule it soon.

No worries. Tigers got 'em in Austin and Hook 'Em gave up a 3rd and 17 that's gonna haunt then for a LONG time.

It just sucks we won’t see this game until 2033
And with sec canceling Texas May use that as their reason for not returning the game
This is the one game I was so ready for
It’s been awhile since LSU has had a decent home non conf game

I really hope they don't dodge the return trip, but I expect them to.
