its how we lost not the fact that we lost. I am over it and I am confident that next year will be a great year. thankfully the schedule is somewhat easier.

The staff wasn't ready and made very little, if any, adjustments. That's the other half of what is driving people crazy. Nothing, NOTHING, changed in play calling the entire game.

I think you ignore the very obvious truth that this offense, without a running game, is dead in the water. When we lined up and couldn't even semi-effectively move the ball on the ground, we were dead.

In the 2nd half, the coaching staff came out and again tried to run the ball...but it still didn't work. Then, we started trying to throw it downfield a little bit which is when you saw Jefferson unable to let the ball go (no surprise there) and taking sacks and/or having to scramble out the pocket way for a loss or very short gain.

There were no moves that the staff could make without a running game.

That doesn't mean the staff did a good job. They did not. Criticism is warranted. And, while I don't think it would have made a difference, the move to Lee should have happened at some point. But, taking the running game away from LSU is like taking Peyton Manning away from the Colts. No amount of coaching will overcome that with our QB. It was a nightmare scenario. Hell, the EXACT same scenario unfolded in the first half of the SECCG. Luckily for us, we found a way to get the running game going in the 2nd half.

Still, with all of that said, the negativity is waaaaaay over the top.

Being extremely disappointed is a very reasonable response.

Calling for Les Miles to be fired and expecting the entire program to fall apart as a result of this game is ridiculous.

Exactly. The staff wasn't ready. If the staff isn't ready, the players more than likely won't be ready either.

I agree mostly. All these people calling for Miles' head and for him to get his walking papers, we're gonna suck so bad next season, etc, is ridiculous. I'm not that mad, just embarrassed because we are light years better than how we played Monday night.

I'm more along these lines:

That's not a gameplan issue. Everything we do on offense, as a result of our limited QB talent, is based off the run. Everything.

Hate to tell u it's not just TIger fans that can't understand the offensive game plan. ANyone who watched the game is ....
We were a team with 2 average qbs, who needed a creative game plan to beat a really good team like Bama! Lee got robbed, he has played his role for 4 frickin years and got robbed of an opportunity to do what he came to LSU to do, while jj was like a dear in the head lights...
Everyone saw this, again, not just tigers fans!

We r a running team! But there r other ways, besides the option, to run the ball! And our OC has zero creativity when it comes to adjustments and doing things spread the field so we can run. Ie-see how bama move around so much prior to snapping the ball and used decoys, etc...
RS didn't even get 1 end around, or even a fake...
Mind Blowing!!!
