Something Wonderful I Just Saw

So apparently it’s a tradition to take a moment in game at Iowa for the stadium and teams to wave to the children at the children’s hospital next to the stadium. Just saw this a few minutes ago during the Ohio state Iowa game. Made my day. Geaux tigers!

Nile Clarke Kinnick Jr. (July 9, 1918 – June 2, 1943) was an American naval aviator, law student, and college football player for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He won the 1939 Heisman Trophy and was a consensus All-American. He died during a training flight while serving as a United States Navy aviator in World War II. Kinnick was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951, and the University of Iowa renamed its football stadium Kinnick Stadium in his honor in 1972.

How are you a football fan and didn't know this?

It's awesome but how are you just finding this out?

This is pretty great. In fact, I've soured so much on the SEC since they all fricking hate us, let's join the Big Ten. And then we can flip this coin instead of all our fellow member institutions trying to find ways to punish us.

Maybe he doesn't watch much Big 10 football?
Honestly I watch a lot of college football and the story is familiar to me. I knew that "a" school did it, but if you asked me before opening this thread i couldn't have told you which one.
