Again if the runner would have been closer to actually impacting the receipt of the ball by 1B then it may have been called……that may not be how it’s supposed to work but that’s how people work right or wrong.
One thing is for absolutely sure a good throw would have resulted in an out without interference having to be called.

He actually was at one point. This is him angling back to the bag. You can say whatever you want but that was 110% interference. That is clearly and abundantly clear

God damn it I’m not doing your research for you!!!! Lazy arse.
Doesn't matter because frick those last couple innings but it was absolutely interference by rule

This is simply just false.

It’s remarkable how many people are clamoring for this interference call. Not a single umpire anywhere ever is making that call unless it’s blatant. Which it wasn’t. Milazzo had plenty of room and time to make a good throw.
If Milazzo throws it to the other side of the bag, and we get the third out, not a single fricking one of you frickers is saying “oh and it was interference!” Not a fricking one.

That I didn’t see in real time or on replay which does not mean it didn’t happen…..if the runner bowed out onto the infield grass then came back to the base were he crossed it then I’m surprised it wasn’t called either way…..that is an egregious no call of clearly altering the runner’s path to the base. I need to look at it again.

I understand it perfectly. It is you who does not, because you don’t understand that the foul line is not necessarily the baseline.

All of this is correct.
There’s the letter of the law and then the spirit of the law. There’s interference and then there’s interference.

Hopefully this is ignorance and not just stupidity….

I don't care what the runner is doing, Milazzo had all freaking day to make that play. He calls off Herring to boot. About as bad of a play as you'll see a catcher make.

There is no base path to first you moron. There is a running lane however, which the runner was not in.

Not interference just because Jones is scared to catch it.
Posted on 5/10/24 at 9:46 pm to hall59tiger
Did the Alabama player actually interfere with Milazzo making a throw to first?

What is your opinion of where this might be….a 3in strip of white chalk?

Well this isn’t true. It’s a call made fairly often many times not blatant.

Seems like him completely missing the biggest guy on our team is compelling evidence for just that. Not sure that matters anyway when the baserunner is way way way outside the base path
