if the Tigers can hit, we can make it to Omaha imo. If we dont hit, it will be hard to go anywhere
Thanks Captain Obvious

quote:my point came with another "obvious" meaning. That The Tigers cant hit for shite the last 2 months collectively. The "we dont hit, we lose" part is probably where the scales are tipped pretty badly.
Thanks Captain Obvious

If the Tigers do what they have done all year with this seriously crippled hitting line up, it won't take much from any team to beat us.
They scored at least 19 runs in every SEC series at home (21, 22, 27, and 29 in the others).

Yes, you were wrong to paint LSU’s offensive performance with such a broad stroke. If you don’t recognize that they have performed much better at home than on the road, then I can’t help you. It’s not like they had one or two good series at home or one or two bad series on the road. They were consistently better at home.

Texas 1, LSU 2, Vandy 6 in fielding %.
The late cancellations OOC are killing our RPI and that’s the only thing keeping us in the 7/8/9 seed conversation.
The Auburn series is the other problem, but everyone has an ugly weekend on the resume.

quote:your 1000% correct sir. I even gave you the upvote. We aren't struggling at all. We got it. Hitting at home will get our amount of runs scored, way up. Thank God we are at home right?

Once again, thanks Captain Obvious. You're saying a lot of nothing.

I think there are only 2 SEC teams that didn't get swept at least one weekend this year

I said this on here several days ago, but I was told by the "experts" that I didn't know what I was talking about.

They may as well be in their conference.

You think you’re saying something outlandish, but it’s actually spot on. Yes, thankfully LSU is at home where they have performed well enough to win every home series, including the last 3 in a row over Top 15 teams. Everyone thought the wheels had come off when they scored 8 runs in 3 games at Auburn only to score 40 over the next 6 conference games at home and go 4-2 to win 2 series over Bama and Tennessee. Then the offense was definitely irredeemable when they only scored 7 in 3 games at A&M, only to turn around and score 22 against Arkansas for another key series win at home. Every time the offense looks hopeless on the road, they turn around and perform well at home.

You lay out a pretty strong argument

cool, did they have series wins against arkansas, tennessee, alabama, mississippi st, oklahoma?

The reason their RPI is higher than our is because RPI is a very flawed algorithm. Beating #56 Hawaii on the road is weighted the same as beating Arkansas or Tennessee at home.

I tend to agree, id take oregon ahead of them…and prob coastal. But outside of that, there arent really better options

They played and beat up a bunch of
High schoolers on the road. So of course they are worthy
