Exactly. Plus, you could tell they were experienced. Their cuts, situational play and decision making was spot on. They were a great first weekend opponent.

LSU having 0 errors doesn’t have much to do with how good or bad Western Michigan is. That’s the biggest takeaway from this weekend.

The "mighty" Tennessee Vols lost to Arizona, and to freaking GRAND CANYON UNIV. over the weekend!
So yeah, I'll stay content with the results of our play from the weekend. As others have also stated, we had 0 errors for the whole weekend. That's a great thing to see.
We have had true freshman coming up big for us already. They will only get better. Dugas played spectacular for a guy that was looking like he might just be a bench player.
So, yeah, I'm happy!

Half of the Rant is totally reactionary and are going to say after a weekend sweep over Delgado that LSU is unbeatable. The reactionary bunch knows no logic. If our qb underthrows one ball, he has a weak arm. If a backup has a good quarter, he is the next Tom Brady. Your post won’t be well received by them.
The other half of the rant that is non reactionary, really doesn’t need anyone to remind them that a sweep over Western Michigan doesn’t get us to Omaha.

I'm not sure who's acting like we smoked anyone. We're all aware of the weak competition, and I didn't think the bats were particularly potent considering said competition. But I've gotten used to slow starts with the bats, so even with a lineup this deep, I'm going to wait a little while before I have a big reaction to anything.
But if someone wants to get excited over beating WMU, it doesn't bother my sensibilities. As long as homers recognize when they're being homers and don't get mad at me for saying I thought we should have hit a little better, I'm fine with it.
