"Some" of those fans are normal when you have a winning program. It's all part of the success. Ignore them if you don't like them.
People get drunk with success and lose touch with reality...most times.

I take issue with that. There has not been a large outcry from fans to fire Les Miles. Even delusional, immature and ignorant LSU fans (of which there are certainly many) aren't saying that Miles should be replaced.

We don't all always agree, but we're all passionate retards/Tiger fans.

As a "seasoned" adult.. it may be easier for me to ignore them, than it may be for the players..
And "those fans" seem to perpetuate more and more negativity, that's all....
just a few days ago, people on here were all on the Scott for Heisman steamroller... and this morning there's a thread on here asking for him to have fewer touches?????

Don't let that segment of ranter Nation turn you away from being a Tiger fan. I'm just as sick of the coaching discussion as you, but have vowed to continue to be a voice of reason in this sea of ignorance. Really, I'm so tired of the coaching comparison to Saban, I could puke. Saban has proven nothing in his career other than he can experience short-lived success. THAT'S IT!!! Take a vacation from yourself and look at it objectively for a minute, morons. The fact that a guy "packages" himself differently and is never satisfied with a win or a loss is better for a program? Really? I seem to recall more players leaving early for the NFL under Saban than I do Miles (Ex. Mauck, Clayton, Spears, Trev Faulk, Toefield v. JaMarcus, others???). No, that's not THE litmus test but it does say something about the guy in charge, the perception for marquis recruits that the players actually like the head coach enough to pass up instant millions for another year (or 2) and provides much more long term stability for the program. For my money, I'll keep Miles even if it means 2-3 loss seasons every now and then; its the in-between years that will continue to be special. It's better than having a permanent, stand-by search committee formed wherever Saban lands

How would you know this living in VA?
Fans vent after a loss, period. If you were right, fans would not be supporting LSU in record numbers these days. I'm sure you can find a handful who don't like Miles. Big deal. We had a few who didn't like Saban when he was here.

True, but not the depth and breadth that I've seen unless you lose to someone you're not supposed to lose to. That's not what happened. At best, I expected the game was a toss up. Florida is better than I expected, and maybe we're not as good as I hoped. People are rejecting this dose of reality like a body rejecting an organ transplant.

If we lose to Spurrier's Gamecocks, our unwashed portion of the fan base will want a human sacrifice.

Now is the time to see who are real tiger fans. This is my first time posting on here and I for one am a real tiger fan win or lose. It's part of the game and I don't want to hear we shouldn't lose by this many points or what and this thing with blaming Danny Mccray has got to stop because you win as a team and lose as a team all the way from coaches to players. So if you are true tiger fans show your support through the good and bad and not whe we are winning because we are not gonna win every game.

eams. It's been fortunate for us that Crowton's offense has bailed us out, but I wonder how much longer that can continue as this offense is not as potent as last year's, nor Jimbo's '06
Actually Jimbo is not doing bad this year.

I had parallel things that happened to me this past Saturday I thought interesting. First, the band I play guitar in was playing in a local venue called Powerfest. It was in the grassy area outside the Citrus Bowl Stadium. We had a 12-minute slot, so we rehearsed elsewhere early in the morning, had the songs down well, and then went to the venue. Although we were supposed to have a sound check, the organizers cancelled it. We got on stage and started the first of three songs. After the first verse of the first song, the singers stopped singing, but we musicians continued. The second song went fine, but, in the third song, the singers jumped to the bridge, which threw us even more off kilter. We finished the set, but the lesson from this is that, even with all the preparation and confidence we have, there are still things that can go wrong. This does not take anything away from the abilities or expertise of the performers, but is just one of those things we should learn from and develop strategies to eliminate or correct (individually these are called metacognive strategies).
The second line of the parallel is obvious, as basically the same thing seemed to have happened in Gainesville.
When the games in life get out of hand, and there's nothing you can do about them, we need to stop wavering and have some confidence that things are going to work out. Don't throw away your confidence, because it has a great recompense of reward. I have confidence that the coaching staff and team will be much better this Saturday. This may be USC's worst game...

personally...i am glad he is GONE...
he was not horrible but....
a) ALL OF HIS SCREENS WERE TO A MAN STANDING STILL. A SLOWER MAN CAN CATCH A MAN STANDING STILL.
b) HE DESIGNED A GAME PLAN AND IF IT WORKED, HE LOOKED LIKE A GENIUS, IF IT DID NOT WORK, HE WOULD KEEP ON FORCING IT UNTIL THE GAME WAS OVER
c)HIS PLAN DID NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE "SKILL OF THE INDIV. PLAYERS" HE TRIED TO GET PLAYERS TO DO THINGS THEY COULD NOT DO.
A GOOD COACH USES THE ABILITIES PRESENT TO THEIR BEST RESULTS AND ADJUSTS.....
OOPS ! ALL CAPS.

unfortunately... it's not just people on the rant... it's a large segment of LSU fans and quite frankly it's embarrassing. LSU is in the top 10-15 programs nationally and has been for several years now. We have a fantastic new coach, who despite adjusting to the "big time," is winning with more consistency than any other coach in the modern history of LSU. After every loss he's had (which - oh by the way - is still countable on 2 hands in his fifth season) we've had a LARGE base of tiger fans calling for his dismissal? That's ridiculous... And to top it off, we're not even supposed to be good this year. We passed on HOW many guys to the NFL last year? Dropped the starting QB from the team? Another hurricane season? And for the first time in the Miles Era we get spanked... totally dominated, butt kicked... and someone wants to fire him?
My nomination for post of the year.
It's the year after we WON, not lost, the NC and we have a freshman QB! Get real people. Support the Tigers or go root for Bama.
The 2-9 type seasons back in the early 90's was something to meltdown over. Not an isolated beat down that is fixable. At least we have the players to turn things around unlike then when the talent depth was lacking.
