Some observations from the game

1) we could have had three picks, two of which would have been pick 6’s and this game could have been uglier for NSU.
2) Stingley is an all around beast and Palmer was a great surprise as LSU has already eclipsed the previous years punt return yards by the third game, 98 or so last year, 104 tonight alone. Had a feeling in me bones that Stingley took a PR TO THE HOUSE, I was wrong- it was Palmer.
3) TDP was a beast needs more carries as our short distance back. Herec TDP>CEH
4) CEH, did great but our younger guys should return the kickoffs-Palmer, Kirland, Stingley -2/3 have earned staff’s trust. This should change for Vandy
5) Burrow’s third quarter was a masterpiece- scored 4 td’s in 12:30. Two in the air, one burrow running td, another running TD - wow, just, wow
6) We will be fine next year. Brennan went 8/9 for 115 yards and looked solid. I know it’s NSU, but still what a performance
7) our D is gonna be fine and in good health for Fla. Aranda had a great bounce back 2nd half.
That’s all, add anything else that you observed. Worked all night in TX and drove 6.5 hrs to BR for the game and it was well worth the trip. Came in on fumes, left energized on a high note.

I'm with you on all points. I feel very good about Brennan for next season. With Brady's tutelage, Brennan can have a big year.

8) the student section chanted “bullshite” for the PI call in the first quarter. We need more of this.

Price did have a better game than Emery. But that's not necessarily a problem. Because both are going to be HUGE for us next year. And maybe this year.

Yessir, I agree, we enjoyed that quite a bit. I know it's profanity, but my wife and I happen to like profanity, especially "bullsh*t" or "sh*t." Love those two!

I believe so too, strongly.

Younger guys need to learn to pass protect like CEH and be trusted to hold on to the football. They are geting their reps and are doing well, but pass protection from the lone RB in a one back set is paramount as we say in 3rd and Longhorn last week.

Agree on this
CEH is more like Emery - quick, elusive
Fournette is more like TDP - bruising running style
Because TDP is a different TYPE of running back than CEH and Emery is similar to CEH, TDP compliments CEH better and thus they will get the most reps for now.
I agree. We are in great shape for RB for the next couple of years barring injuries.

The offense looked great I just wish we could run block more consistently.
What worries me is the pass rush with a 4 man rush, but I know we were missing a lot of players in the front 7.
What really worries me is Vincent in the back end getting beat consistently. After every play it looks like he is confused and lost.

If Emery is a East-West RB, that will be a problem in this offense, especially against SEC defenses. I’d like to see plays designed where we get him in more open space. (OL run blocking not doing him any favors)
I’m with Gordy & Hannigrif’s take that the lack of a running game is the major problem to address right now as the defense should come around when all the starters are healthy.

Emery is nothing like CEH lol

1) we have zero picks this year. 0- squat
2) check
3)our running game needs work. We are nearly one dimensional.
4) Couldn’t agree more. It’s malpractice to have CEH as the KO returner
5) it was NW State. He had all day to throw.
6) see number 5. To the chap who said he’ll be fine next year because of Brady’s tutelage, Brady doesn’t coach QBs!
7) all evidence to the contrary. The defense is a liability since we can’t generate pressure. Where are the coverage sacks?
This team will go as far as Burrow’s right arm can carry it. Aranda needs to up his game and figure out what he wants this defense to be. It needs an identity. I have nothing against weed but the players need to put the the team and goals ahead of a few highs.

I dont think this team is too good at running the ball out of the Shottie to be honest.

I agree with all except for point 7. I still believe the defense is going to be the weakest link for our team this year. We will improve but not to the extent that LSU fans are used to. Just wait until we play a good offense such as Alabama.

CEH has proven to be a solid RB but I would like a more down hill runner like TDP to get more touches. CEH reminds me of a 3rd down or scat back.

Defense needs to shore up for sure. I think we'll get there, but this was a letdown game too. Huge win last week on the road, coming home to play an 0-2 rent-a-win, no offense intended. And it showed early.
This is a team game, and I think we have all 3 now. When one isn't on their game, we have the other 2. But all 3 have the capability to dominate.
I don't think 11/9 is that important for us. If we win out, we likely could play Bama twice. I'd rather win the second one this time.

I was following the Scoreboard at the beginning due to a soccer game I had to go to. But man the ranters on that board need to grow up. Yes you expect a let down. Every team has it. But these people were ridiculous. That needs to change
