After last night, what are some more baseball lineups you'd like to see this weekend? Here's mine:

1. LH 1B Tre Morgan
2. RH RF Dylan Crews
3. RH 2B Cade Doughty
4. LH DH Cade Beloso
5. RH SS Zach Arnold
6. LH CF Brody Drost rotating with LH CF Mitchell Sanford
7. RH LF Gavin Dugas
8. RH 3B Jordan Thompson
9. RH C Alex Milazzo rotating with RH C Jake Wyeth

Maybe swap 6/7 spots to space out lefties a little more in lineup.

Can Crews play CF and give Drost a shot in RF?
I like Sanford too.

I feel like there's not much Crews cant do

And on Sanford yeah I hate to take him out at all but I think we also need to see what Drost can bring in a full start as well - good problem to have.

With the doubleheader sat you will likely see some various lineups like Wyeth catching an entire game and Drost getting a start as well.

Morgan 1B
Arnold SS
Crews CF
Beloso DH
Doughty 2B
Dugas LF
Thompson 3B
Drost RF
Milazzo C

This is my lineup going into this Friday night. It is still early and a lot can change. I moved Arnold to 2 because he just seems to always give a good competitive at bat even when he gets outs. Last night he fell behind 0-2 twice and still battled fouled off a bunch of pitches. I feel him and Morgan at 1 and 2 would give pitcher headaches then they have your best hitters to deal with once they are done with that. Good luck.

I think you have it nailed. That’s our strongest 9 rn in the correct batting order.

Amazing how a few games change everything. After the first 2 games, this team can't hit and now we are struggling to get hot bats in the lineup.

Definitely good problems to have.

Love it when we have to make tough decisions on who plays. It’s a good problem to have. Brody needs to be somewhere in the lineup

Some thought vomit on the lineups.

The Milazzo/Wyeth situation reminds me a lot of Papierski/Romero in 2016. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Friday/Saturday starter and a Sunday starter, with midweek being a coin toss. That's unless Wyeth simply takes the position outright.

It looks like the Bianco experiment is over. 0 for 5 with 3 strikeouts.

I agree with what others have said. Sanford hasn't done anything to lose a start, but Drost has earned a shot in his limited at bats. (Am I the only one occasionally having trouble with who is who between Safford, Sanford, and Cranford?)

Does Gio have a spot on the field when he comes back?

It's wild that LSU is having a problem with too many players having success at the plate early in the season.

I'm just curious why everyone is keeping Beloso in the 4 hole right now?

I'm not crapping on Beloso, as I really like him and I am pulling for him to be successful; but right now his OPS is 6th best of the starters and his slugging is 8th best. While he does appear to have a little better approach at the plate this season (7 BB to 1 K), he is not hitting that well in the early going and when he does hit, it's not that hard (only 3 singles & 1 RBI).

Dugas has appeared to start putting it together the last 2 games. While he does have some more swing and miss in him, when he connects, it is going to be a shot and currently is better than Beloso in avg., slg., OPS, and RBI.

I like this but id have drost milazzo thompson 789

Not a fan of an automatic out in the 9 hole. Gio in the 9 hole would be optimal but he will be out for a while and may not get his job back

I’d like to see an outfield combination of Drost, Sanford, and Crews. Also, whenever DiGiacomo gets healthy, he’s competing to get back into the lineup as well. Dugas’ inconsistency bothers me

I think Crews needs to be in right because he has the strongest arm. That’s usually where you want your best outfield arm at

I want Travinski to get at bats some how. Every time he's come up he's hit the ball hard

When everyone is healthy i would love to see

1. Morgan 1B
2. Crews RF
3. Beloso DH
4. Travinski C
5. Drost LF
6. Arnold SS
7. Doughty 2B
8. Thompson 3B
9. Gio CF

I think that gives us the most power/best overall lineup we can possibly field.

It remains to be seen how good Travinski is behind the plate. I just think we should give him and Wyeth a shot back there.

ETA: maybe switch Gio and Thompson so you don't have 3 Righties consecutively.

I like having speed and power at the top. Really liking this team (SEC is stacked too) - Crews is an absolute stud ball player.

1. LH 1B Tre Morgan
2. RH RF Dylan Crews
3. LH DH Cade Beloso
4. RH LF Gavin Dugas
5. RH SS Zach Arnold
6. RH 2B Cade Doughty
7. LH CF Brody Drost rotating with LH CF Mitchell Sanford
8. RH 3B Jordan Thompson
9. RH C Alex Milazzo rotating with RH C Jake Wyeth

When Gio caomes back.

1. LH Gio
2. RH RF Dylan Crews
3. LH DH Cade Beloso
4. RH LF Gavin Dugas
5. LH 1B Tre Morgan
6. RH SS Zach Arnold
7. RH 2B Cade Doughty
8. RH 3B Jordan Thompson
9. RH C Alex Milazzo rotating with RH C Jake Wyeth

Crews is staying in the leadoff spot. It's the analytics part of baseball now. You are starting to see it more and more. Best hitter at the leadoff spot, even if he's not a prototypical leadoff, so he will get the most ABs throughout the season. Through four games he has 22 plate appearances which is the most on the team, only by 1 so far. Over the course of the season he'll get an extra 20+ plate appearances, and I am here for that.

For lack of better options mostly for now. I think Dugas could be the man there but he has got to get way more consistent before you move him up in the lineup. We can't have the 4-hole guy striking out 2-3 times in games. That's part of what Beloso has been so good at to start this season (.600 OBP)...but is a little weird he's backed off on his home run power he showed as a freshman. You just assume the guy has still got it because he isn't a small gentleman, but last year rarely put it on display in the shortened season and this season he's been more hit for average guy and talk walks for sure...and that's really working well so far.

I think if Drost could somehow get in every day lineup and rake like he does he could be a potential land there as well.

I would like to see him get a full game at DH just out of curiosity. To make it work you probably have to sit someone that’s currently playing well so it needs to be a lower risk game, maybe Youngstown Saturday or Southern/Texas Southern in upcoming midweek games.
