The fundamentals issue is too many seats have really bad views and can’t compete with 75” hdtv.

So what can you do?

Make the average view better and reduce the number of seats.

First 12 rows on the sideline you can’t see sh*t. Last 15 rows are way too high.

Solution -
1. lower the field 6 feet
2. Put a canopy or wrap around video board around top of the upper deck and take out those extreme nose bleeds

This is a good idea

Tennessee game was miserable with a 3 minute 50 second commercial break every 5 minutes.

I don't think you understand how big of an undertaking it would be to move the field elevation 1', much less 6'. That is pretty much impossible.

Ideally you would redo the upper decks to create some innovative stadium fan viewing experience: bar/restaurant/club/standing room only type of thing. Thats probably unrealistic.

My other idea is two fold:
1. Remove half of the top seats of the east upper. Install a big overhang to block the sun.
2. Build 200-300 feet poles on top of the west upper that hangs canopies for sun protection for the east side. I imagine its gotta be wind resistant so they dont become big arse sails.

Also, gotta work with the tv people to reduce game time by removing commercials and breaks.
Also, the expansions shouldve added more seats above the endzones instead of going so freaking high along the sidelines.

The half arse canopies over the benches of the players (was on ole miss side) offered no shade (hardly any players sat anyways) and were completely in line of sight in lower rows.

So your idea to increase attendance is to reduce the number of seats and put the field farther from the seats.

I am currently on Row 8 and I love my seats.

If we keep playing like we are currently playing, the seats will be filled.

There are some improvements that would help immediately:
1) Improve traffic flow
2) Shorter commercials and play reviews to keep the game moving.
3) Bring back volunteer groups serving food.
4) Encourage tailgaiting rather than continually trying to limit it or commercialize it.
5) Work harder to have more of our SEC games at night.

Technology has made game attendance obsolete for many, myself included.

I don't think LSU will fill the upper decks ever again, at least not with only LSU fans
I think they need to make the upper decks more family friendly, cheaper options to bring the family
Maybe have cheaper concessions in the upper deck as well
Block out some sections, make the individual seats larger so you can spread out more

Are you trying to create a Roman colosseum type vibe? If so, lets lower it 15', flood it, put sharks and snakes in there and play the game on yolo boards and not televise it.

This is a good idea

So basically just rebuild Tiger Stadium. OK easy.
