re: Softball's Nicky Dawson transfers to Baylor

Baylor plays a home and home with LSU next year and the year after. Gonna be interesting seeing those two especially when Smith and Dawson start.

look nobody knows WTF is going on behind the scenes here so let's just let the coaches look our for their club and let the players look out for themselves. I will give BOTH benefit of the doubt. MOST KIDS are told go WHERE YOU CAN PLAY! I have had umpires tell girls that. These girls are not playing football waiting until their junior or senior year to be a million dollar draft pick. At this level it is nature of the beast for someone to possibly pass you up. Nothing wrong with transferring as these girls want to play. Also nothing wrong with coaches continually busting their asses coaching and recruiting for upgrades and improvement.

Sure SOME of these girls will play NPF but let's get real ok? It ain't MLB or NBA or NHl or NFL. usually college is the last ball they will ever play the rest of their lives. Let them go where they can play.

Yep, anchor the thread because people post on here that I don't agree with.

Personal attacks? Where? Stating stats or opinions about a players performance is NOT a personal attack except to the few pumpers that can't stand the thought of criticism of this team. Other than educote and Bayou Bum, I have seen few if any personal attacks against players on the softball boards. The pumper posters attack other posters they don't agree with but that is about it. To say the softball threads are anywhere near the level of vitriol of some of the other sports is ridiculous.

Quinn is one of the worst three year starters in SEC history. Fact, not a personal attack.

Sanchez is not an SEC caliber player and should have never seen the field. Fact, not a personal attack. I don't care if she works 20 hours a day at Tiger Park at some point you have to perform, except on this team.

Players kicked out of practice: False, never has happened.

Hoover was dismissed from the dugout in the WCWS: Fact

Smith was benched after Beth heard a rumor she may transfer? Fact

Smith was not given a Super or WS appearance because Beth heard a rumor and wanted to punish Smith? Fact. You don't think Smith earned a shot to at least appear?

Smith was told Hoover would be gone if she would stay: Fact

Dawson was told Quinn was playing no matter what: Fact

Starters (not bench warmers) filed a complaint to Athletic Admin about staff's actions this year: Fact. Do an FOIA if you want to read the details.

The player/staff relationship is strained on this team and many starters wanted to go and were talked in to staying with promise of change: Fact

These types of things are NOT common, standard procedure within programs. Let's hope the staff and the players get better from this day forward and some of the apologist can see reality.

you are confusing criticism for performance with personal attacks. I have not seen the personal attacks towards players and their families in football like here. There was more than just eductote and bayoubum but i cannot remember the names. maybe alters. who knows. also, i am not sure where anybody accussed you of personal attacks or even implied that. if all that is true then this program is truly fricked up. I just find all that hard to believe. It goes against conventional wisdom.

agreed which is why i said IF what you say is true I am severely disappointed how all that was handled. I chose to give benefit of the doubt for all sides.
