Re:Two runs on two 2-out wild pitches. Then an error leads to two more unearned runs because Berzon can’t close the inning. Now the game is practically out of reach. Inconsistent play is a staple of Beth Torina coached teams.
What should Berzon do. Coffee needs to make that play and they get out of the inning without giving up a run. I swear this board does not know the scoring or simple rules of the game.

Torina keeps alluding to Berzon dealing with a lot?! I’m assuming she’s distracted off the field with personal issues. Or maybe she’s injured. But obviously something is wrong.

What she needs to do is get the damn next batter out or maybe the next one after that and show some senior leadership and toughness. I acknowledged the error. And yes, Berzon should have been out of the inning. Coffee has cost this program a lot of runs with her shite defense during her time here. But Berzon is supposed to be the Ace of the staff and she’s getting shelled more than she should be.

So, they finish 12 - 12 in SEC? I had them at 11 - 13 at the beginning of the season, so that's an improvement.
Looks like a regional at home and travel for Supers, if they win. I don't see them getting a top 8 seed unless they make it to the SEC Tournment finals.
Anybody knows where they will be seeded for the tournament?

I kinda hope they sit Berzon for the sec tournament to rest if she has nagging injury. Would prefer her be healthy for the ncaa tournament given we probably have to win the sec tournament to be a national seed now.

Her confidence is definitely not there. She has been getting hammered lately. She cost us two games against Arkansas last weekend. Same thing. She couldn’t close out the inning

The hitting coach is the only good coach but he looking to get out, I’m not saying Beth should or shouldn’t be fired but if she isn’t then LSU is satisfied at being mediocre

I've heard this too. Isn't this only Neal's second year at LSU? I guess he sees the writing on the wall, that no matter how well Beth recruits, she will never win anything of consequence.

I had 2 Texas based travel coaches tell me he isn’t sold on Beth being driven to win at all costs. I also heard he loves LSU and would love to spend a long time here in BR if things were different…Is he ready to be a head coach?

It means she does the things necessary to win like cutting players, singing 5-8 portal players, culture problems in the program… consistently being .500 in the conference… driven ppl don’t want to be mediocre they want to win. When you are comfortable other things like a good experience, helping women become stronger women take over… SEC is dog eat dog and if you’re not up to it or don’t change with the times you get left behind…
