I’m most worried about Kilponen at this point.

Kilponen kept them in that game. The problem is, is that there is nothing behind Kilponen. Teams are gearing up to hit Kilponen. Unfortunately, she had to come in to pitch that game when she had already thrown against them twice that week.

If Kilponen can’t be effective the second or even third time against an opponent, their chances of advancing are slim. She was able to pitch effectively the second time against Georgia and Florida, which gave me hope. 10 runs in 2 games against Miss St is concerning. I just don’t see them getting wins from anyone else in the postseason.

Something is wrong with pitching development. Chaffin is a freshman so I am more understanding there.

The others are in years 4 and 5 in the program but somehow have gotten worse.

I was listening on the radio on this one, they were saying Kilponen was doing great that game until that last inning, then the announcer said LSU really didn’t have any other options. As with the last game in the series if there was a decent second pitcher, Kilponen could have/should have been pulled . Torina sticks with Kilponen for too long late in games because there isn’t a good second option

LSU has lost 21 games this year. Last year they lost 22. That's a losing percentage of just under 40%. Any team that loses almost 40% of their games has created a losing environment.

Not as an excuse, but that is one of the drawbacks from playing one of the tougher schedules every year. I personally think it’s a mistake to schedule that hard of a schedule, it would be good to develop more of a winning mindset by still have a very competitive schedule, but not one of the toughest year in and year out

There was a whole ordeal with Wickersham i believe last year or so between lsu staff and her pitching coach.

I have a sincere question about "SUPERFAN". How does he get tickets that I can not get at LSU, on the road, even at some big Football games (especially in 2019). I do not believe it is possible that he has enough TAF points to buy where he gets to sit. And yet no one moves him, and I honestly believe he is a distraction to our teams sometimes.
Are all the coaches afraid of him, even Scott?
I would sincerely like an answer to how he gets to be where he is!
His sister was a nice player and gave LSU all she had but he has done nothing to deserve all the privileges he gets that I can see.

I would ask for the secret to get that level tickets wherever we geaux regardless of ones TAF standing.

I asked LSU staff about that last season and never received a response. That's when I quit donating at Home Run level and only went to one home series this year. I'm debating about not renewing my season tickets for next year. All they had to do was answer my question and I would have donated again this season. And yes, he does distract the players..

Exactly, how are you able to get those seats ?…

I live out of state and would love to go to a couple of weekend series during the season. I haven’t found any place in the secondary market where you could get those seats behind the plate or close to.

I agree completely!!! I have season tickets in every sport and belong to multiple Booster clubs, and yet I am treated with no respect in comparison to someone that is there not to be a fan but be seen on TV.
His actions are totally an embarrassment to LSU Athletics In my opinion.
If anyone monitors this board for Scott, please ask him to address this issue.

If it were only Softball it would be bad enough but during Football games (especially in 2019) he appeared to be a part of Tiger Band by where he was seated! Someone needs to get this under control.

I can understand. The guy is very distracting . I can’t imagine how bad it is to be listening on the field or in the stands during the whole game.

Last year there was a rumor LSU paid for his tickets to away games and paid for his expenses. I guess there's no truth to that.

Simply not competitive because of poor recruiting by Torina and staff... suspect pitching, hitting, and fielding have led to the decline of the program over the past few years!

I actually think the freshmen and sophomores on this team have a lot of potential. They are much better offensively than we have had in past years. The drop off has been in pitching. I don't understand how we don't have better quality pitching which has always been our strength. We're scoring more runs but we can't hold the lead...i.e. the 5 run lead on Sunday and the big lead at Texas. However, to go 2-2 against MS State and to be swept at home by KY is not acceptable.

I can not speak for anyone but me and my family,,, The day I find that to be true,,, LSU can cancel all my season tickets and other donations!! And I would imagine mine would not be to only ones!!

If I keep mine (3rd row between home plate & LSU dugout) I will get them to you if they arent already claimed. I donate mine to locals in BR who don't get to go much.

So, if what LSURSB pointed about the pitching is true, why is it we heat all of these commentators saying how great Torina is at developing pitchers?

I'm still bent out of shape because nobody at LSU thanked me for stepping in between him and the family of one of our coaches when he was starting to go after them because they complained that he wouldn't sit down in his seats.

The guy obviously doesn't work unless he is independently wealthy or has unlimited PTO. From what I understand he lives out of state yet travels to BTR and road series most weekends.

It's embarrassing to watch him jump around, swing the belt and flop on the ground all game long. Makes me not want to watch something that I want to watch.
