Wickersham's control has fallen off the map this year, badly

Hopefully Kilponen can close this out

You just can't walk someone in that situation. Taking deep breaths now.

In my opinion, after three glasses of a very cheap Pinot Grigio, it's time to come to terms with the fact that Wick and Gorsuch are average to dog $hit this year.

It's time to go old school, as in the two thousand aughts, and ride one stud pitcher to OKC, and that pitcher is Kaponen or possibly freshman Smith, the Gatorade Player on the year nominee in Arizona, with Sunseri as a serviceable bullpen option.

Well Morgan Smith isn't ready for big action. She is still pretty raw...

But do think we may need to ride Sunseri and Kilponen in the big games. Wickersham has struggled pretty badly this year with control and don't think Gorsuch is necessarily the answer either but she could be better coming in relief probably.

Not sure what the answer is but none of these pitchers are Hoover or Walljasper but some are clearly better than the other.

Seriously????

Smith is not ready at all, gave up way too many runs against a weak North Dakota team. Smith has one at bat against good competition which ending up being a hit from Alabama. Time to pump the breaks on Smith.

Sunseri has been VERY good this year and at this point is the number one...if you had to rank them thus far. Kilponen has been very good as well.

Funny thing is though, if Sunseri or Kilponen get hit today, the same people here saying they are really good and the only option, will be saying they are terrible. Fans need to look at the overall production from players instead of just a couple games. Bad games are certainly going to happen with every player....remember Hoover getting lit up by Kentucky a few years ago only to be saved by a monster thunderstorm which deleted out the game because not enough innings were complete?

Before this season started I would have said that Wick is your number one, by a long shot. Wick is a very good pitcher, her control this year has been off thus far, but I believe will get back soon.

Also remember, LSU has a very hard schedule...I would say probably harder than any other teams. Of course with harder competition comes worse stats from both hitters and pitchers.

Thinking maybe you drank too much Pinot Grigio before posting.

I would guess that Texas will be bunting with this first batter in order to get runners to second and third.

We need a strikeout with either the first or the second batter, which makes Kilponen the obvious decision as to which pitcher to pitch here as she is the only real strikeout pitcher on the staff.

The conclusion of this game will not be streamed, according to @LSUsoftball. So just imagine rally fruit being posted in key moments, that helped us tie it up already.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. You're already streaming the other games, why not the end of this one?

Since I retired this week, I actually looked into coming over today for the DH, but the cost of tickets on Stubhub was alarming early this morning. They have dropped to the cheapest being $30+ fees and had to buy 2 or 4 tickets. There are still a set behind homeplate for
$284.00 × 2...
