According to the advocate. That's a tough draw. To have to play a 50-4 number 2 seed. They should be hosting

Where they get those players that have them reloading every year? I know their conference isn't SEC but they beat sec teams every year. And their motivation to beat the Tiger girls is always through the roof.

Not to knock their program because they do well in their conference. I thought I read where they had like zero or one win against a top 30 team. Believe it or not, competition matters. That's why they aren't hosting. Can they beat lsu? Sure. But they would be 8-10th at the very best in the sec.

They can thank the same person we can. Yvette built a juggernaut over there, and then turned around and did it again at lsu from scratch.
The lady is amazing.

Year in and year out, they go play some of the tougher teams in America. I think what happened this year is that some of those team under achieved. Obviously Oklahoma is good, but Baylor, Oregon state, and Cal just werent as good as expected. They cant do anything about their conference not being strong. They won 27 in a row. That's impressive against anyone in sb.

Lorief or whatever his name was is not their coach so I’m not sure how they improved.

They do better than well in their conference, they dominate it.

It does. The Cajuns have 4 losses on the season, to Oklahoma, Baylor, North Texas and Mcneese. The last on March 20th.

It would have been better to have lost a few more but played better competition. Unfortunately the conference dictates much of the quality of their opponents and UL Lafayette isn’t up to a better conference in most sports not named softball.

Quick question..... are the USL "ladies" as big as the gumpettes softball team? If not, then not worried.

Again, we are just to disregard the fact that they didn't beat a ranked team this year? I think I read where their schedule was ranked in the 100s. Look I'm not out to bash their program. But you can't just look at a 50-4 record and compare to teams that played 20 times the tough opponents. Obviously, that's why they aren't hosting.

Mark17. FAKE News. RPI of 18. Not sure where you got your info. Might have been higher if game against Oklahoma would not have been canceled due to cold weather. Also, they had a 3 home games scheduled with FSU. FSU called and canceled.

The thing with UL-L is that though they lost to some mediocre teams, someone who wins 27 in a row in conference deserves to host. 50-4 is impressive regardless of who you are or what conference you play in. If they do come to the Baton Rouge regional, that’s a tough draw for LSU. I think LSU can win it regardless, but it’s still probably the best 2 seed in the country.

Yeah, that won't happen. They will host. We will probably be paired with Bama, FSU or Tenn

Because the Cajun’s current HC Gerry Glasco is a better coach and leader than Mike Lotief. Additionally, Glasco hired Mike Roberts who previously coached at Oregon & Washington and is one of the top pitching coaches in the world. Roberts is from Australia and recruited the best Pitcher from AUS to play at ULL.
