With Third and Aranda at the helm, I figure closer to 60.

Bama WRs are ridiculous. They will score a lot of points. It’ll come down to turnovers.

Our DL isn’t all that great. Not a good matchup. We’ll see what happens. Still have Auburn to beat. That won’t be an easy game.

Nah, all we will need to score is 1 point more than Bama.

[quote]This game will be back and forth with two prolific offenses. Curious what the over/under will be, but it seems we will need to score 45 points to win that game.

At a minimum. That appears correct.

Do you care if LSU is 6-1 or 6-2 going into Bama? Or, is all that matters that LSU comes out of that game possibly 7-2?

LSU has 2 games prior to the match up.

If somehow Aranda can scheme to shut down the quick slant, LSU should have a decent chance. Tua only has the high yards this season because his WR's go off for 40 yd YAC off a 5 yard quick slant. Burrow is getting his yards by actually throwing the ball down field. Burrow is a better QB.

What are the options to shut down quick slants?
-fake blitzes thinking they need to go to hot route
-bump them at line of scrimmage and throw timing off and not get separation.

I don't know really how you defend it.

Nah. Tackling will be the most important aspect of the Bama game. Miss a tackle against Jeudy, Smith or a couple of other guys, and they can put six on the board with the quickness.

We still missed quite a few tackles v. Florida. Cannot afford those in T-town.

Bama is the most penalized team in the whole conference. The bias people think is there is simply not true. Same goes for last year. People will whine about anything. We just have the best then straight up. Which we can
