Well yeah. Just like every game in Omaha.

We have 5 runs already and you’re saying our hits are cold?

Im referring to my hogs. Nobody is screwed by this game. We are a walking dead man with our batting in Omaha.

Well, this definitely isn’t ideal. We need to win this one so you would have to beat us twice. Don’t want to lean too hard on our bullpen. Our bats have been streaky but I’m hoping these last few games shows we are more consistent now.

How is it a deal for UCLA? They are now in number 4

Losing is the key term there. Whoever loses is fricked.

I mean, obviously...but it's not because of the rain delay.

I think that's the point of this thread. From a pitching standpoint, this hurts LSU a lot. I don't think it hurts UCLA almost at all.

They will still be at a huge disadvantage vs. Arkansas and then having to beat LSU twice.

You act like they have a bunch of elite arms in their pen. They aren’t bad, but we raked all but two pitchers we faced in the regional and super. Arkansas’ guys were elite and we still got it done. We are going to keep scoring runs on their arms.

FFS.

This delay removed our starting pitcher. It changed pretty much nothing about how they will pitch the rest of the game.

If you can't see how that hurts LSU vs. them, I can't help you.

I'm not saying we can't win...or that we aren't the favorite to win. But, this delay hurts LSU tonight. And, if we have to burn Evans, it hurts us moving forward as well.

The 4th inning just started

Even the winner is going to deplete their best bullpen arms

This sucks

So they lost their starter and BP arm. Are you suggesting UCLA pen is better ? They have better arms that Evans/Shores?

Have you followed UCLA baseball this season to know that?

As I've stated, their pitching they will use to finish this game will be identical to the pitching they would have used without the delay.

On number 4, but it was known they would likely use several more arms than LSU. They almost for sure would've changed pitchers again before LSU. Eyanson seemed to have found his groove and was likely going to pitch at least until the 6th or 7th inning. Now they get to the LSU bullpen sooner. Definitely a bigger win for UCLA than it was for LSU on paper.

Arkansas sitting there with Root in wings

The kitchen sink is thrown tonight, because the loser is an underdog tomorrow

You don't understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying UCLA is a favorite to win this game. I'm saying their chances of winning this game have gone up from where they were because Eyanson is not out. Furthermore, if LSU has to burn Evans and/or Shores, that hurts LSU more because it's pen isn't as deep.

UCLA doesn’t manage their games that way. They rotate in 4-5 pitchers every game. They might get 20-40 pitches each. They don’t have an arm like Eyanson. They are like an ant colony of decent arms that together can move things bigger than them.

We wanted to use Eyanson for 7 innings. They were always going to rotate out their pitcher around this time.

Not at all but most of those hits were dribbles that found holes. He looked to have settled in like he's done before and was dealing.
