To be fair. In 2019 after Joe and Myles we had nothing either and that was the GOAT team.

Actually we had Peter Parrish on scholarship. We could have given up his redshirt in an emergency situation.

Broken arm thats 2 months minimum i think? Correct me if im wrong.

That would still give him 2/3rds of the season to play.

Other than last year, name the last time we had to play our 3rd QB?

At the end of the '08 season we basically started what should've been our 4th string QB, Jordan Jefferson. Should've started the season w/ Ryan Perrilloux, but he got kicked off (during the spring?). Andrew Hatch xferred in and started the season. He got injured part way through and Jarrett Lee took over. Lee suffered an injury (ankle?) and JJ came in for the bowl game. Sure, it's rare, but it can happen.

Why do you need a qb3 if the first 2 are ballers.

MJ is NOT a baller.

Nuss will be.

So, a couple of months ago we had 4 QBs in the room and now we are down to 2.

That really sucks for MB. Praying for a full, speedy recovery for him.

I have a good feeling MJ is gonna have a break out season now that he is the de facto #1 guy now.

Are we looking at Jontre Kirklin playing QB?
T.Jandon just entered the portal at Auburn and wants back in.

He'll try to get Tate to let him back in LSU based on historical racism in AU math classes......

Kayshon Boutte throwing to himself.

I mean, you figure he'd have to win the Heisman if he did that on the regular.

What if Max Johnson goes down week 1 against UCLA? You gonna bank on Nuss playing the whole season after that and staying healthy? You need a 3rd guy there for a complete “nightmare scenario” basically. We don’t need a 3rd QB because of lack of talent, you want a 3rd QB option in case the complete disaster goes down.

If you are scrambling for someone to save us from a “nightmare scenario”, you’re already in the “nightmare scenario”. There’s no salvaging it.

Let Max play, and play to win. Playing scared and conservative isn’t going to cut it.

Either we’re going to win and we play like we’re going to win, the O Line plays fierce protects the QB, we score and keep the O on the field as little as we can and have the defense play lights out.

We win, or we perish.

No half measures.

We play like 19

Why don’t we have an extra spot from the departure of Rosenthal?

But why would you want him to play when he comes back?

That implies that Max either A) Sucks, or B) gets hurt himself. We should hope Max lights it up, stays healthy, and keeps the job.

Nahhhh Max is a Baller. Just admit it. It’s ok. Myles Brennan is hurt. Either get on the Johnson train or get off the team.

The intrigue would stop with NUSS! We are lucky to have 2 really good QB's but worst case scenario we do have 2 experienced preferred walkons that could fill the spot!

With NIL, can't we figure a way to cover the costs for an incoming QB transfer that would otherwise get a scholarship?
bring in transfer to "walk on"

Have them sign an endorsement for Walk Ons as the official real life walk on for LSU football
