It actually never rained for the game in New Orleans. FWIW. And it was canceled many hours before the game.

Today's game was actually canceled because it was pouring right around gametime. (when the game was called)

There's really no comparison here. Nice job of trying to stir up shite.

You are truely a douche and a half. It was pouring down around the Box around 6 o'clock.

..but I digress. You are indeed a total douche like your previous alters.

Eh. The forecast was for heavy rains on Tulane's campus that evening. At least Tulane canceled early enough so that people didn't drive all the way down here for no game.

As someone already said, they drove from Houma to see the game tonight and it was canceled at the last minute - when it obviously wasn't necessary.

don't even try to make Tulane's retarded decision half-way acceptable. Like I said before, a tee-ball league would have played the game Tulane postponed.

due to the rain which began at the Box around 5, neither team had a chance to practice, warm up. Even had they not made the decision to postpone at 6:30, at that point, it would have been at least 2 hours before they could have started (I would think), to get the water off the field, clean up and allow both teams time for practice and warm up. I don't fault them for postponing. What I heard is that Tulane wanted to postpone long before LSU agreed...Mainieri wanted to play.

Hell, when the game at Tulane was postponed (around noon) the local NO meteorologists were predicting the rain WOULD NOT be in the city that evening. They were predicting that the weather would stay north of the lake, which it easily did.

Manieri agreed to the decision at noon as well. That's why the game was called. Anymore lies yhou want to throw around?

Well I'm glad Manieri is calling the shots behind the scenes at Tulane's athletic department. I wonder if he can get us out of that crappy deal we have to play Tulane in football for the next few years.

Yes.

And of course the rumor is going to be that "Manieri wanted to play."

And before some arse decides to start calling me a Greenie, I graduated from LSU and am a die-hard Tiger.

Believe what you choose to believe. I guarantee they tried to do what they could to play since Tulane was there already. The forcast was NOT predicting rain in the area until 10. The showers were completely only over the campus it seemed. It poured for the better part of 5 to 6:30 when the game was postponed.

I think the decision should be no more second guessed that the decision by Tulane to postpone the prior game when no rain happened. It is a call that has to be made. I am sure there were people other than just the coaches involved in the decision.

I WAS THERE!!!... what freaking planet are you on?... or better yet, does this thread even have a purpose?!?... other than, perheps, just stirring up trouble?!?... get a life!!...

bs, TigerPhan27, fulame called that game in NO even after multiple forecasts of no more rain in the evening... while IT WAS ACTUALLY RAINING HERE AT LSU AT GAME TIME TONIGHT!!... come back when (1.) you have a REAL argument, (2.) can see/think straight, and (3.) want to contribute some real input!!...

Roid rage?

It rained here at Tulane the day of the game. At the time they canceled it, I was on campus and it looked like death out here. The administration was obviously told by someone that the forecast wasn't so hot. Rather than let LSU fans drive in from all over the place, they decided to cancel the game early with the information they had. The game got played - just like this one will.

Now STFU and GTFO.

WWL and WDSU's noon metorologists both called for no late afternoon, evening, or night rain that day. If you think I am making this up now, pull up the thread from that day, because I know I mentioned it. They called for it to go north of the lake. (It not only went North of the lake, the northshore didn't even get it bad that night.)

Tulane made a horrible early call that day, regardless of who supported it and why. Today's game was called at gametime while it was still raining. Bad comparison between the two, period.

Nice try. It rained there many hours before the game, then it was fine for the rest of the afternoon and all the way through when the game would have been played.

Agreed, be it was a smart or stupid decision, the first rain out should have been long forgotten about. But someone had to bring up the comparison, ah well...

Just wish tomorrow's game was on TV.

what a doofus... I think, in honor of all the fulame idiots that are on here bitching about anything they can grasp to try to look cool again, I think LSU should geaux and charge all their crappy credit cards retroactively to the same crappy jacked up ticket price that they charged us LSU fans to make the drive down there for the game... TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!! ...when it was not even raining there for the original game time but they called it off anyway!!!!!!... while we just charge them the same old regular ticket price for the game here... so that even if they do make the drive up here again, they are still ahead!!!...
