Experience for young players. That’s all we have to gain. Everyone and their mother knows it will be a beat down. Bama can’t even celebrate this because who cares about beating LSU when anybody can?

I'd rather lose 77-0 than forfeit. Why does the OP want us to forfeit?

This game is being played only because the SEC rearranged other games. This game should have been cancelled after they could not play on the original date because it benefits neither team to play the game now.
the bulk of money comes from TV contracts. Teams can’t just decide not to play if tv wants them to.

You want me to try & read his mind? Odds are I'll win the Powerball lottery before that happens.

Just because you're too dumb to understand logic doesn't mean everyone else is stupid. It simply means you're an idiot!

So Sparky tell me the logic in quitting.

Tell me the logic in getting fined by the SEC and likely also by the television network for violating a contract is a good idea.

Tell me the logic of having quit on a scheduled game being used by recruiting rivals against us is a good idea.

Tell me the logic of being the national poster child for cowardice is a good thing.

Just you are someone that quits when things get tough doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Seriously though. What happens if we just don’t fricking play??!

Lawsuits and fines. Lots of them.

You can’t buy out coaching contracts when you’re spending millions defending lawsuits and paying fines.

This is the most pathetic take ever. I'm sorry we can't go 15-0 and have the greatest season in college football history every year.

Courage. Something you do not know anything about.

We could have John Bel take over Covid reporting for the team and not have to play another game with how he pads case numbers.

So LSU will gain courage by getting humiliated in this game? No thanks! Missouri and MSU gave us plenty of courage this season. We don't need any more courage!

My point is this season is not your normal season, so you can't treat it as a normal season. If we couldn't play on the original date scheduled, then the game should have been cancelled. This game means nothing to either team when it comes to the overall picture. I could possibly see playing the game if there was something to play for like winning the SEC West, but to play for no reason doesn't make sense.

So when we get blasted by 35 or more points, please come back and post on Tiger Rant how enjoyable the game was to watch and how beneficial it was for the players to get humiliated again on national TV!

Dude, you play whatever games you can.

As you say, this isn't a normal season. In fact, every single player can return with the exact same eligibility he entered this year with. Marshall is the only one I'd expect to get drafted, we should return everyone else.

I expect a blowout, maybe 40 pts, but you NEVER know. Upsets can and have happened.
If for no other reason, you want your team to play the best teams possible, to gain experience against them. Stingley and Ricks will one day be pros, and Flott's improving over the course of the year. Let them chase the Bama WRs around, and see what they have to work on to be ready next year.

When was the last time LSU opened as a 28-point underdog to Alabama or any team ever?
In our hasty ambition to hire a replacement to escape the Les Miles "Dark Age", we have ventured deeper into the abyss. The football program is in total disarray - irrespective of COVID.

I predict 2021 season tickets will be easy to come by and you'll again see 50% capacity in Tiger Stadium. Next year brings little hope and recruiting will eventually take hits. Prepare for "The Year of the De-commit". You're watching a classless football team in action. That's the primary difference between Saban and Orgeron: Class, discipline, and a deep understanding of Excellence
