Then we for sure get a new coach.
It's a win-win!

Once again, shite on Etling. If you think that you are anything but a shitty poster you'd be wrong.
What's your problem? You follow me around and mention me in post after post. You were overly critical of Harris and now you constantly accuse me of shitting on Etling when I've done nothing of the sort. Give it up pal.

You'll have a new coach next year, you won't like him either.

Because you were adamant that Etling should stay on the bench and you defended Harris to the point of insulting other posters. Then when Etling actually came out and provided the spark that was being discussed. You seamlessly went into riding Etling's nuts mode. That doesn't sit well with me. I'm going to let it go but you are an a-hole.

We at Rock bottom if he doesn't work out at QB. We know who the problem les........ It development and play calling

Easy, yell for Mcmillan or Scott. Cycle throught the qb's until someone can get it done.

Lindsey Scott, paging Mr Lindsey Scott.

Can we not call him DE?
It's meant Defensive End too long for me to turn that off.

Etling won the first half. He didn't complete a pass in the second half. Ettsiah

High standards on the rant. Good luck DE

quote:I don't know about the rant, but the standard for LSU qb play is about 50% completion for about 120 yards. The bar is pretty low to reach.
So what happens when DE doesn't play up to standards of the rant?

Then someone will post video of the first five qtrs. of this season...

Standards are pretty low. I just want a QB with a pulse that can complete a pass and doesn't throw every ball 100 mph , 10 ft to the left , and 20 ft over the receivers head. Just someone who can complete a forward pass and pick up a first down here and there would be great, and enough to keep the defenses honest and open things up for our rb's. Is that a lot to ask???

It was Jacksonville State. The running lanes would be there if we ran the toss dive every play.
Is that why we still went 3 and out the first two possessions of the game?
And to those who condemn the playcalling, I truly don't believe it is. Yes second half conservative play calling was very evident, but Etling by no means got the play book "opened up to him" in that second quarter. For the most part, they were the same plays we ran last year and against Wisky. The only difference was having a QB capable of reading receiving routes vs secondary coverage. That's it.
Yes, the SEC teams will be bigger, the SEC teams will be faster, but we luckily have a progressing schedule that has the potential of letting Etling warm up through the season. He's not a freshman like Harris against Auburn 2 years ago, and if you've seen him in any out of game interview, the guy actually seems intelligent. If he ends up with nerves of butter, then throw Mcmillan in. But at the end of the day, it's OLine and QB play/development that is our downfall. The play calls are perfect for a team that has the running back potential we have.
