Right. That would certainly constitute a situation where one would be in reasonable fear of their life. The situation that TexasTiger posed in which he said anyone coming after you "presumably could" have a weapon won't fly. Weapon in hand, sure. I wouldn't wait for them to point it at me either. Personally, I think merely brandishing a weapon is enough to fear for your life. I probably worded that part bad and didn't want to type out every instance. Use your judgment; if your scared for your life dont hesitate. But if you have no reason to believe someone is armed, simply coming at you likely wont be enough as Texas postures. Unless you're in your home, car, or business and they illegally enter. Then no weapon needed (read my prior post). And the consult your attorney line was meant to be laughable.

Just came across ESPN. Says they shot someone in the backseat, called the cops and waited for them.
So far, everything being said seems to lean towards CEH doing everything right.
Was robbed selling a PS4...if drugs were involved, he would be screwed.
Guy was found in backseat of his vehicle...shows the guy entered his protected area.
Called police, and stayed on scene.
Being his dad is a cop, would have to assume the gun was legal, and he was taught well to be carrying it.
Sucks for him...but doesn't seem initially like he did anything wrong.

I’m just passing on what I have seen. I honestly don’t know any truth at all. But I have seen where there are reports now saying that CEH and his friend were not involved in the instance but rather just witnesses taken in for questioning. AGAIN, I am not sure if anything. His sister did comment on a post on Insta and said that “Clyde is fine. His family is behind him”.

Individual Liberty is messy AF. North Korea has almost no problems with gun violence, car fatalities, stabbing deaths, alcoholism, drug overdoses, etc. It must be heaven there.

I know one thing for sure. That dude will not be robbing another person. If he did it to CEH, it was probably not his first time doing it. CEH is a hero in my book.

Weren’t they all in a car? Dude in the back seat? If CEH was threatened with bodily harm and it was reasonable to believe the threat it should be justified.
If they were all in a car and he was threatened, might help because in a confined space with nowhere to retreat things happen fast.
If a third party was in the car then he is not only acting in defense of self but also the defense of another person. If they both felt threatened I think he would be in good shape.
But no one knows the facts yet
