I don't like him, and don't plan to stop following the team.

It's really easy to separate the two.

Frankly, the coach's persona is an overrated issue created by a bored media. Saban was fawned over by the media well before he became ultra-successful, just like Ferentz at Iowa (who hasn't become that successful). Miles was seen as a bumbling goofball, as he strung 11 win seasons together.

If the team wins, the average fan doesn't really care who's in charge, or shouldn't.

I was just thinking this 99. I used to come to this board and hear how stupid Miles was and he had the worst time mgt in all of organized football. Cant hire coaches eating grass, such a liar, horrible offensive philosophy, cant speak to the media etc.
Every day somebody was riding Miles. He didnt win by a big enough margin, LSU shouldve won by 3 TDs with all this talent any coach in America could win 10 a yr at great LSU.

And he won a shite ton of giant games? And LSU was in the hunt late into November almost every yr.

I wonder if its the same people or is the other half of this board now having their joy.

I heard from reliable sources (Tee Babb) the reason for the Oeaux hate has to do with reports.....

1) He hasn't sold his shrimp boat
2) He's still communicating with his pals in Grosse Tete
3) Last of all, he knows he's going to get fired after this season and intends to parly his notoriety into a career as a cajun rap artist named Yaw Yaw. My sources inform me he has already signed a contract with a rubber boot company. The artist "Yaw Yaw" will have his picture displayed on the rubber boots. A portion on the sale of each pair of rubber boots will be donated to the Benevolent Order of Shrimp Boat Captains
