Bingo! The most important thing about this tournament, this year, is to get Henry stretched out and comfortable. I imagine after 45 pitches they want three days rest before his next start or bullpen. That means we have to win the next two - or a losers bracket game - to get him live action.
My hope is that Henry pitches one more game in this tournament, goes 60 pitches, has no pain, and builds a little on his control. If so, we're hosting a regional. That's a third start for Henry, and he's stretched. We go into a Super with a dominant ace backed by Walker and Marceaux.
If that happens I like LSU's chances. This team is closer to a deep run than the fans realize.

This wouldn’t have been a season ender at worst it makes you a 2 seed so no you don’t burn the best healthy pitchers you have on short rest for a non season ending game

No one has ever said that except th melters.
One guy said he would have started Fontenot and waited to use Henry in DE game, That is a legitimate point that could Be debated. Sky screaming about not starting the top 2 healthy starters on short rest is not criticizing it’s stupid.

It was ABSOLUTELY the right move to start Cole Henry. They got what they wanted out of him and now moving forward he could potentially get a start later on the tourney and be ready for regionals.
