Not really a “I hate O” thread.

It’s more of a “this coach has no direction/plan” thread. Dude has no confidence. It’s not good when a coach starts putting out ready made excuses before the season.

Yeah I guess I asumed a better coach would actually improve the team in his first year.

that 35% of the offense installed is probably 80% or more of the offense we will see every week...don't know why anyone has a problem with this

He fires his chosen offensive coordinator after one year, promotes the interim who hasn't been an offensive coordinator in 20 something years, and then asks us to 'be patient' with the offense?

So why exactly was Canada fired again?

These comments by O are just bizarre. It was part of the plan not to recruit a CB, now we have to 'be patient' with the offense? Alleva better hope that Aranda stays because he is the biggest hope for this program at this time.

Great idea, pappy. We will call it the intelligent people’s board. That way you, space cowboy, and the other tards can talk amongst yourselves.

....and yet you CHOSE to click the link and read it. Furthermore, you had to let everyone know, AGAIN that you dont like the “I hate O” threads. There is a vast difference between someone “hating” Ed O and someone disliking the hire. Lastly, its called the RANT not the sunshine pumper page. What did you honestly expect?

Does anyone have an idea of what tempo we are going to run? With the number of receivers we have and the depth of our front 7 on defense we can really apply pressure to teams this year.

Orgeron has been setting himself up with excuses all off season. The QB’s, new system, playing freshman, and so forth. He’s spent more time working on self preservation than he did recruitihg on the recruiting trail.

I dont think he's worried about the "system" too much at all.

Having a qb he can depend on to execute is prob the thoughts he spends most of his time focusing on.

I understand with a new OC the offense isn’t completely installed but will this be O’s excuse every year?

Yes

If we have 11 receivers, he'll only use 3.85 of them (35%).

Think Kiffin at Bama, Cheney at UGa, adjusted for our personnel (backs).

Go back and watch the UGa v Bama NC game. Pass first to set the run West Coast, with some tempo and read.

Timely, accurate vertical and horizontal stretch passing.

And, no, they didnt design run Fromm much at all...but then again, UGa didnt have Narcisse for the occasional read option pkg.

Brennan needs to gain at least 10 lbs. Fromm is 225.

p 45 in O's binder:

Excuses

_____ 35% of offense installed

_____ team loaded with freshmen

_____ team plagued by injuries

_____ Miles left a team with no talent

_____ someone put okra in the team gumbo

_____ the media cut my "fiery speech" short

shouldn't that qb be executing in a particular offensive system?

A guy like Holgorsen is able to install his entire offense in as little as 3-4 practices.

I’m so glad we gave Ensminger the job. Really seems to have a firm grasp on the offense he wants to run and how to install it efficiently. Really excited to see what he does here given that he turned away so many other schools.

The system doesn’t work if he and ensminger can’t develop a QB to properly execute it.

LSU fans, who are extremely impatient, have been extremely patient when it comes to offense.

I have zero patience for meatheads request. He knew coming in we were always an offense away from competing at the highest level. His promises were to get the offense rolling. He actually had the offense having fun while he was the interim......and then he hires Canada, to fire him after 1 year, to hire SteveE. Patience is gone homie.

If we had lost all of our defensive starters and had to hire a new D coordinator because he left, then I could understand asking for patience and forgiveness......but this O crap of lies to get the job and side stepping he's doing now with his buddy running the show..F O and patience. Win or leave.
