Sure, they happen.

But between his first year here and player comments, the rumors about the coaches and the team looking wore down last year as the game went on...its a legit question.

He does need to light some intensity in his team...but he has to know where the fine line is.

bs. He needs to do whatever he needs to to turn this around. And i think it is flat out ignorant to try and tie being worn down in the fall to being worked too hard in the spring.

The main point here is his practice routines in general. Hes known for dogging in all his practice sessions, not just Spring...

or just stitch them up so they don't bleed all over the place... Mile is talking about increasing the intensity & competition during the spring, not locking kids in utility closets. let the man coach already...

Many players were allegedly pissed at Miles b/c Miles wore them out in practice each week before the game.

Absolutely.

The beatings will continue untill the moral improves!!

Anyone crying about tough spring/summer workputs making you tired in fall is ....well, you decide.

Tough spring and summer workouts prepare you for the 4th quarter. FACT. There is no crying in football either.

I hate to admit, though LSU lost to Bama just because they were tougher than us.
Our team hasn't been tough late in the year for a few years now, Miles has the right idea, we need to get a lot tougher.

Ciron Black would tell anyone who would listen last season that he and many other players were pissed at Miles b/c Miles wore them out in practice each week before the game. This nearly lead to a mutiny situation and caused a lot of internal discipline problems.

So what is it that people on this board want? Do you want Les to be soft in practice so the players are happy? People get on Les for not being tough enough. Saying that Les shouldn't make the players practice hard is hipocritical.

Good. He has always ran an "easy" program for players. He needs to toughen up a bit.

Are there any links to point to this ? Everyone keeps saying this "easy" "friendly" "pass the ganja" program but I can't find any coach's /player's interview that attests to this.

generally speaking working guys too hard too early results in piss poor play during the year...

I like how yall bitch the team isn't tough enough, but when the staff tries to change the team in a positive way you find reasons to bitch more.

If he won 11 games next year most of yall would still want him gone.

I thought last year's spring practices were supposed to be super duper hard. And the spring before that. Seems like I hear this every year.

2nd, the players who played here under Saban says that Miles practiced them longer and harder. Some of the current players feel like they wear down because they practice too much.

3rd, their 4th quarter workout was the easiest its been under Miles

There might be truth to this. Every year under Miles, the team is visibly gassed and beat up by the last few games. I know every team gets tired late in the season, but I dont see it as drastic as with LSU.

It seems to me Miles might have the fire again. I think he knows we've GOT to win and win alot. I'm really excited for this season to get started because it's gonna be intense.

yeah Ciron and several other upperclassmen appeared to have pretty sour attitudes by mid season.

Anyone take that as a bad sign?

A mule can work hard. We need to work smart and with a clear sense of purpose.

I think orgainization and attention to detail will be the key, and ultimately that has to come down from the top and not from assistants.

I hope Les can achieve that. Cause the record last year may not have been terrible, but we sure didn't look too good. That wasn't much fun to watch.
