9 of 11 starters on offense and 7 of 11 starters on defense are juniors/seniors. Just a bunch of grown arse men about to win this thing.

Retaining returning starters is a key to success in major college football. It's going to be tough this year to continue this trend.

Dylan Moses announced he's returning to Alabama tonight and not going to NFL.

I'm trying to prepare myself and others for a let down next year if we win the NC...

If we win the NC, the NFL is going to take most of our Juniors (the starters)...thus, somewhere between 8-4 to 10-2 is the best we can hope for...it will be a rebuilding year and a year for Brennan to get enough experience for us to make another title run in 2021.

Please don't hate on me, but prepare for realism & reality. I'm afraid younger fans will put too much pressure on Brennan to be as good as Burrow right off the bat...it's not going to happen...2021 will be his year to shine...

Maybe.

You forget that LSU has one of the best recruiters and evaluators (not a word) of talent in the nation.

Without a doubt, but there is no substitute for experience...not even talent...Stingleys, Petersons, and Mathieus are the exception, not the rule.

Yes we are about to win the natty and yes I think we somewhat of down season next year. Optimism is as high as it’s been ever right now but we will lose a lot. Not just starters but big time leadership.

Ditto...

Realistic expectations...split one for one (.500) or 50/50 vs. Bama as long as Saban is at A1abama and NC appearances every 3-4 years...

we do that, I'm satisfied...better than the Miles Era or any other in LSU history and its attainable/realistic.

We’d return 3-4 Olinemen, 2 of the best receivers in the country, the best TE recruit ever and 3 baller Running backs. Defense might take a little hit, but there were 4-5 true freshmen who saw significant action, and killed it.

In addition I wouldn’t be surprised if the NFL scoops up Brady

Lol. Sure. That’s realistic. One amazing season with a once in a lifetime QB performance and suddenly it’s being realistic to expect national title appearances every 3-4 years.

So, we can’t even wait until the season is over to start “declining”.

How long before we put together a roster than can make the playoff 5 years in a row?

Probably so. We will not decline to 8 and 4. 10 and 2 more realistic.

Somehow, this seemed like the most appropriate GIF

I know! Right now I could care less about next year!

LSU is one victory away from being in the conversation as one of, if not THE greatest teams of ALL TIME! This season is historic. Even with a one point victory over Clemson, LSU will be considered a top 10 ALL TIME TEAM! Certainly the consensus GOAT LSU team!

One reason we will have a letdown next year is because Orgeron wouldn’t play Brennan during some of the critical times. He literally has no real game time experience. When he came in, he played with the backups and mostly handed off. This approach didn’t give Brennan the experience he needs to lead the Tigers next year.
