I'm not outraged. You're going to have some ups and downs. Two losses to two quality teams hurts, but it's unavoidable at some point.

Agreed. Florida is the best team out there IMHO.

Well I would say in a class by themselves along with Ole Miss.

Georgia scored all they needed to, if we didn't throw the pics, LSU was still not stopping Georgia from scoring. There was nothing that the LSU D showed me this season that would indicate otherwise. The D is a concern because they are not improving.

Also, since we have inexperienced DCs, it is cause for concern because they don't have the resume to show that this is just growing pains and will resolve itself in the future, so fans lose confidence.

Losses are fine if there is improvement throughtout the season, but the defense is regressing and fast.

It's not the two losses that are concerning. It is that we have looked bad in pretty much every game this season.

+1

We know our team has talent, but it isn't performing to its ability.

it's not just the losses. it's the way the losses have gone down and how abysmal the defense has looked in every game this season. it has people worried about the future if miles doesn't correct his mistake with the co-dc's

That's it in a nutshell. I'm concerned that this will most definitely carry over into next year even if Miles hires a real DC. His mistake is ruining it for next year too. A new coordinator will take time to put his new schemes in place and that makes next year another re-building year when it could have been a great year. I say he needs to make the move now, realize that this year is a wash and get someone in here who can use the last half of the season to begin to implement a system and get a head start on next year so we can actually acomplish something next year.

Please explain how you hire a DC midseason?

I've never seen a coordinator hired during the season. Yes, after the season and before a bowl game, but not in the middle of the season.

It's not losing that makes people mad, it's how we are losing.

After the 49ers lost yesterday, Mike Sigletary quickly identified what it takes to win. First, hit the other team in the mouth. Second, don't give the game away. Third, execute the game plan.

In LSU's case, the defense isn't doing enough of the first and the offense is doing way too much of the second.

Plus we are not like ND or Auburn who make no judgement on issues that are easily in the coaches power to fix.

Please explain

barring an unprecedented defensive turnaround
Actually, it wouldn't be unprecedented. Saban's first SEC Championship team had a worse defense than this after 7 games (dead last in the country in pass defense). By season's end they were pretty damn good.

Every person i talked to after perilloux left, said LSU will go 10-2 with losses to FLA and GA. so i dont see what the meltdown is all about. bama worries me yes, but noone expected them to be this good this year . ill take 9-3 with the qb situation. my question is what BCS team will have the best record with a freshman qb? ohio st is the only other team i can think of in our situation.

Yes we're pissed. Almost impossible to reach the SCCG now because of 2 losses, might be 3. Wanted sooooooo bad to play Fla. again before the GA game. Now, dont think playing in Atlanta would change the outcome.

So let me get this straight, two losses and suddenly people are outraged because ____________? For all the years people on this board mocked Bama fans, it seems LSU fans have become as delusional as those very same fans.
We have some very delusional, and dumb fans as well. Most are bandwagoners that just started following the team this decade, including some college geeks, armchair QB's, and internet tough guys. Most people don't understand what it's like to lose and have a bad team and bad coaches.

This is not a bad team, and we don't have bad coaches.
