So if the SEC is the only conference to enforce the NFL rule, we disadvantage ourselves

I like that this is being looked at, it is an issue, but it should be everyone or no one when it comes to rules like this

B1G posted something similar earlier.

They aren’t. Literally every other conference is doing the same.

The B1G already did this. They are the only other conference that matters.
We (LSU) weren’t stupid to try and exploit the loophole, but we also shouldn’t fight what is so clearly a common sense and appropriate rule.
These guys shouldn’t be allowed to play this season in college, and everyone here would agree if Alabama or Texas A&M was the school who made a couple high profile additions on that basis.

They're all going to rule this as they should. However, Ole Miss shouldn't be having Chambliss allowed to play for the fact SEC was throwing up fists about that situation. Yet, here we are with them being allowed to loophole their rules with a local judge but not a peep about doing anything enforceable to penalize them. Or all the other universities who did something in their own way. If I was LSU I'd call the SEC's bluff to make them look bad trying to enforce something on LSU against the players and showing conference collusion in the process because that's effectively what you have at that situation. This is a 1 time exemption it's not going to happen again so it's not like anyone will be able to loophole it again.
Once again NCAA is the central cause of the mess by simply not ruling on it earlier despite it being in the process. They very likely dragged their feet just to try to avoid them coming back and instead, end up screwing everything up per usual. That's the NCAA for you.
