Maybe they still feel like they could start over Burrow. I think it's a little early yet. Joe hasn't even been to a full practice.

They still are under the ruse that there's a competition.
Once they realize Burrow will start like we all know he will then we'll see it everyone sticks around.

Also, he does have to gel with his teammates to be successful and that remains to be seen as well.

They have until fall camp to make a decision. If they're transferring to another FBS program it doesn't matter as they have to sit out a year. If they're transferring to an FCS program they would want to get there before fall camp begins.

They’re hitting them with the “ it’ll be a fair competition he has to come and earn the job just like you guys “ so in their heads they’re like hmm let me just battle it out and see what happens

It's still way too early with regards to McMillan (as other posters have said). His graduation will be some time in July. Granted, he does have a big ole mouth, so we may see a tweet announcing his decision to transfer before the actual graduation. We shall see.

you're correct. and what gets me about these "QB" competitions is that some of our fans want the competition to go on forever. it was extremely clear in the spring game we didn't have a #1 QB. all had some redeeming qualities but just not yet ready.
no matter who our QB is, we have to fix our OL or we are gonna be in trouble. we need a center and 2 tackles to step up and we need it desperately. Clapp leaving really hurt us. we'll probably be OK once the year goes on but having Miami and Auburn in our first 3 games doesn't do us any favors.

I an Most concerned about Brennan who Seems like the future but his overlap with Burrow IOC he doesn’t redshirt is not great for him. Would leave him with 1 year if Burrow stays and starts 2

I'm also a big fan of Brennan, Cajun Catfish, but we have to be unbiased and realistic in our assessment. At this time, Burrow will easily beat out Brennan. As for McMillan, he has been inconsistent, so it is hard for me to imagine him all of the sudden being lights out. Surely he'll transfer. Narcisse is not an accurate enough passer. This is Joe Burrow's team.
