Because it's better than watching Ole Miss play. Is that not enough of a reason?

Prayers sent to your spouse. I good friend of mine married a Bama girl. Way too much Bama in her for him. Mixed marriages rarely work out. Sorry to break it you.

1. If you don't think this is the most exciting player in the country, you can't be helped.

2. If you like defense, you'll find a home here.

3. This stadium is the loudest, craziest, best places to watch a first half of football in the country. You'll get to watch LSU beat up on ALL the teams you hate, and only one you like.

1) Like all fans, even Ole Miss fans, LSU fans are good people once you get to know them. Since you married one, you know this to be true.
2) LSU fans pride themselves on being able to cook up the best gameday food to be found anywhere, and they will share it with you to prove their point.
3) At least you didn't marry a Mississippi State fan.

OP. We have exact situation at our house. For 27 years, there is one weekend a year where it gets pretty ugly. Then Monday morning, its back to business. We've learned to endure the other's friends that come to the games.

1. Dont watch which will irritate your spouse
2. He/she will get an LSU fan fan SO in exchange
3. Head back to the grove and cry about it.

Those are 3 consequences? of not doing the right thing and ditching? ole Miss fandom

I want three good reasons out of any LSU Fan that wishes to submit them, why I should like watching LSU Football.
1. LSU occasionally goes to this thing called the SEC Championship Game. I know you're not familiar with such a concept but it's a game played in Atlanta every year where the SEC Football Championship is decided. It's really fun when your team gets there. I'll give you time to look it up on Wikipedia if you have to.

2. LSU is actually going to a bowl game this year and went to one last year. Not sure if you remember but those are fun.

3. Billy Cannon's Halloween night run always brings a smile to my face.

This seemed like a safer place than finding a "Tiger Bar" and getting a bunch of drunken gibberish.

We know a couple that is the same. They have three kids and so far two of the three that graduated from high school are LSU students.

There is no way the Ole Miss game day experience can compare to Tiger Stadium so get used to the idea your husband and kids will all be LSU fans and eventual alumni.

Hell I met an ex-Ole Miss player at a golf tournament dressed in purple and gold. He said even though he was a player he was still and LSU fan first.

Even if this is a troll/alter...

Because Eli's final play in college was a sack by his own center.

Because we kneel on your goal line with plenty of time left on the clock.

Because our QB's don't get so embarrassed that they run into the lockeroom before the game's actually over.

Because our best player in the past 3-5 seasons doesn't get high and fall off of a balcony—he gets high, kicked off our team, turns his life around, becomes one of if not the best at his position in the NFL despite being undersized, and remains one of our most vocal supporters.

Because recruits dont have to be paid to be interested in our team.

Because we don't put up goddamn "co-SEC West Champions" banners in our stadium.

Because the best thing about being a fan here isn't drinking spiked punch in a small grove of trees—it's the actual team.

Basically, you should just hope to be adopted by LSU because it's a better life decision, as a fan, to come over to our side.

1. It's college football. The pageantry is great!
2. LSU has a storied tradition and a big part of that tradition is the rivalry with LSU.
3. You love your husband and he is passionate about his Tigers just as you are passionate about your Rebels. You can sleep in separate rooms when they meet each year. The rest of the time it's your marriage to your one and only. Football is just a game.

BTW, my brother was married for almost 30 years to an Ole Miss grad. Her entire family attended Ole Miss for generations. She was a nice lady who unfortunately died too soon. When they filmed "Everybody's All American" at Tiger Stadium the fans were asked to wear period appropriate clothing so she donned LSU gear. Her dad would have turned over in his grave to see her wearing Tiger apparel but she did it because it was fun and it made my brother happy.

Best wishes to you and your husband. May you have many happy years together.

The Grove has its own uniqueness with tailgating, but pales in comparison, as do a lot of schools, to LSU. The family and friends of your spouse will show you love even if you are wearing red on game day.
