If LSU is going to have a guy who was in the NFL on the team that can't be too far behind. Good job to all the conference commissioners and tv executives who only want to milk this sport for cash.

Why are you blaming conference commissioners?

The NCAA created this mess by being greedy for decades and not putting a system and structure in place for the players to make some money.

The NCAA fought that for decades until a judge finally struck all of their efforts down in 2021 and created the Wild West power void that we have now.

Is everyone willfully ignoring why this is happening this year and why it is unlikely to happen again?

Imagine believing that something like this won’t keep happening

There’s always some magic reason every offseason that makes it a one-time deal. Then the next season, it’s something else. It’s incredibly predictable—this was always the result when they gave a “one time” one year extension during Covid. And here we (very forseeably) six years later still giving guys sixth and seventh years.

The courts are going to let them play no matter what.

You know the SEC Commissioner has openly said that he is against this right? Or did you not know that?

Explain why it won’t. At every single turn, every single restriction placed on eligibility fails.

Why would *this* be the last time?

When will these conditions happen again? They won't.

When will lawsuits happen again? Probably every year, as they have for the last several years, until the NCAA or whatever governing body college athletics has puts forth a set of reasonable eligibility rules that are enforced evenly without loopholes that can be exploited by lawyers and institution-friendly judges.

I think the current set of rules is probably the best yet, with fewer judgment calls for the NCAA to make and an age restriction. They only misstepped by when they announced it and how much they let the cat out of the bag prior to the announcement. If they had either included the HS class of 2022 or waited to announce after the start of the fall session, none of this would have happened.

The school presidents ARE the NCAA, I don’t know why people don’t understand this.

It's because they and can't think more than 15 minutes ahead of right now. Comprehension and critical thinking are so difficult

Let's see if he has the balls to keep this guy from playing. Talk is cheap.

What do you mean? He doesn’t have the power to do that.

Is every Junior who decides to go into the draft, but who goes undrafted or is cut, going to be ineligible to return under the 5 for 5 system?
