He doesn't have multiple years to do so. Verge and the TAF are some ruthless mofos.

Nah. Jay will be given plenty of time. He's the most successful coach, h during his LSU tenure, in the athletic department.

So how does Jay fix it?

He goes out and gets really good players like he has done in the past.

Anderson was was a top 5 pick. Eyanson was an elite portal grab as was Dickinson.

What are you disagreeing with?? I literally said the exact same thing. He’s got to get in the transfer portal and try again.

There are good kids at every school. Sometimes your budget dictates who you get. Again it’s all a gamble.

I don't know what you're watching, but it ends in Hoover.

Right, like Michigan didn’t in basketball and the 2024 baseball team didn’t in 2025.

In the world of free agency, things change quickly.

Who’s a better college coach than Jay right now? I’ll hangup and listen.

Exactly. There is no excuse to not to flip a bad team to an elite one after 1 bad season. Jay missed on this team. DVH at Arkansas missed on his too.

I’ll guarantee that both teams are a hell of a lot better next year. Elite coaches don’t have bad back to back years. They fix the issues.

It’s not like we done have plenty of good returning players. Including pitching. Obviously we’ll need to bring in a few good position players out of the portal, but it’s not the doom and gloom we are making it out to be.

Since you’ve already given up on Jay who would you hire if you had the choice?

hasn’t won in the NIL/Portal era and hasn’t made a super in 4 years. 64 years old….. again find me a coach with a better resume than Jay Johnson with this current landscape of college baseball.
