And Mangus.

These guys are young, energetic, with an incredible work ethic, and very smart.

Peetz will have an OC job in the NFL in two years and on his path to a HC.

Just like Joe Brady who recommended him.

I love Steve Ensmiger, but Linehan just couldn’t cut it.

We should not hire the old NFL retreads anymore.

Peetz is living his career path now.

Young smart offensive minded coaches are what the NFL is looking for.

I think this is a home run hire.

P.S.

Hoping Saban made a mistake with the Bill O’Brien hire.

I hope Peetz sticks around for a little longer than 2 years.

Yes.

But my point was that he would be so successful that the NFL would come calling for him.

Another path would be the next LSU HC

Coach O even admitted that he is from a different era.
The young guys are taking over the sport.

Doubt it

O'Brien will be adapting to what Saban and bama have done the past decade. Not the other way around.

We like to joke about "the process", but this is really the best way to explain how Saban has had sustained success.

Something tells me Peetz will be here for awhile. Being a family man and father of 6 I could see LSU just upping his OC salary if he is successful. his vibe on that interview is that he and his wife is looking for right opportunity. From 2006 until now he's moved 9 times, thats a ton.

Or retreads in general (e.g., Pelini)

If you’re anything more than optimistic, you’re fooling yourself. So far, all we’ve seen is talk.

The guy has a lot to prove before anyone should be crowning him. Excited for what he could be, but let’s see it.

If Peetz brings over even 1/2 of Joe Brady's knowledge, then he will be great.

I say that because Brady was on a whole other level than anybody in college football strategically.

All season long in 2019 the only team that slowed us down at all was Auburn, with that ridiculous front 4 they had, nobody else could do diddly squat to slow us down. We basically toyed with everybody. Peetz seems like he was a sponge while he worked with Brady, learning as much as he could from him.

I don't think anybody is going to be able to handle our offense once again.

Hope you a right.

He could eventually replace Coach O.

I know this is a stretch,
but I like that Coach O is willing to go with young up and coming guys.

Joe Brady will be a valuable asset for many years.

With 6 kids & a stay at home wife...presumably....he's either looking for some stability or else a bucket full of money to move on upwards to a HC position.

If he does move on quick, I hope Mangas learns everything he can from him while he is still here.

I hope Mangas is sharp as Peetz is. It sounds like Brady was a great mentor to Peetz, and Mangas needs to soak up whatever knowledge he can from him.

Right. “Looking for the right opportunity” is what they will be doing next year at this time if they have great success. I promise that assistant coach for Orgeron, and living in Baton Rouge, is NOT their goal.

Yes, I agree.

But let’s not mistake that he is young, but not coming out of high school.

He has coached with some very talented offensive minds in the NFL.

And now he’s the lead man. Just saying I won’t be putting him on a throne until I see the creativity and production on the field. Talk only up to this point.

Yes
You are correct.

But I like the infusion of young coaches.

It takes a Joe Brady to spot this type of talent.

Even Sean Payton (as innovative as he is supposed to be) didn’t realize what he had on his Saints staff as a low paid assistant that would never have a chance to step up the ranks with the Saints.

Sean Payton told Joe Brady he was making a mistake by taking the LSU job.
