Miami. Week 1. We will know right away. There are no warm up games.

Well that's what we are all hoping anyway. We'll see soon what type of competitor this guy really is. Miami will be a great test for our offense. I liked the way Steve E called plays in 2016. He mixed it up well, so we'll see if he can build off of that or surpass it.

The line after the first game will be "vanilla offense, we're saving the good stuff for Bama."

FIFY

we should absolutely know what kind of team we have after the Miami game. After SELA ... it certainly won't get any easier.

Not quite.
The 2011 Georgia team lost it's first two games and then won their next 10. They were embarrassed in the opening game vs Boise State.
An opening day game doesn't define the team.

Auburn, AL is known as the trailer capital of the World.

Trailer Tide = Auburn

I realize Miami will be a good indicator but a team can show great improvement from week one to week two. The Auburn game should be the game where all the kinks are worked out against a great opponent.

Tom Brady could be our QB and Saban would still beat O. It’s really not fair for the kids.

No excuses for not throwing over the middle of the field this year. It’s pretty easy to game plan around run up the middle and throw to the flat.

Agree

But I think people are getting their hopes up a little too high. People are used to seeing NFL quarterbacks consistently making plays under pressure. College quarterbacks just aren’t near as good as nfl qbs. We could still have some bumps along the way.
