It means it wasn't as dire as you want to portray. He also got back 3 players from LSU and signed decently highly rated recruiting classes.

Never said that. Dude was putting his money where his mouth is. I respect that shite, at least he gave a frick. But the hyperbole that he destroyed a program that he took over with 2 NCAAT appearances in the last 10+ years is nonsense, when he made the postseason every single year.

My post was about our fans giving Wade a free pass, my point was he had some hand in the downfall of LSU basketball, he gets credit for building it up, but he alone is what started his on undoing, regardless if other people are doing stuff.

Neither was Wade or LSU.

Do you know anything on this subject?

No, I’m not using semantics.

How things started is completely misrepresented and the actual NOA doesn’t match the narrative that people just spew.

Just ask wade to suck his dick already. Stop crying because wade will never coach here again. Move on and atleast suggest a valid coach that would help our program move forward. Stop living in the past.

I’m talking about the official allegations levied. This is on top of the bad press that came with him being caught on wiretaps, regardless if he wasn’t the target of that investigation, it was a bad look for LSU, deservedly or not.

Many of the fans have already discussed this. Problem is Woodward doubled down on CoachMc without real foresight. It’s as lame duck as it gets. And that pisses off the fans that follow LSU MBB throughout it all.

I don’t have an issue with this overall.

I believe it was a witch hunt and the IARP was pretty much can’t prove anything except non cooperation. That isn’t exact, but a decent gist.

If you didn’t have FBI deciding to look into handling, something they’ve never done before and Calipari pushing his buddies like Dickie V and Pat Forde to continue to press, it’s mostly a non story.

More people are culpable than Wade is a cheater nonsense. If this was politics, dudes would question more than just accepting the narrative.

Protecting them for Texas Bowl success?

The previous two coaches were fired during Texas Bowl seasons.

Also a dumbass, but two different situations

Different how? Specifically the failure to cooperate with investigation part.

1) he put LSU in a position where they had to do something

How is that exactly? What did auburn have to do to Pearl? Kansas have to do to self? Alabama have to do to oats?

2) left uncertainty over the penalties of the program that made hiring a coach

Ah yes, the “exhausting shroud of negativity” was completely insurmountable.

Thankfully that has been gone for 3 years and the program definitely isn’t destroyed, right?

and recruiting players difficult

Is this where we talk about what that first recruiting/transfer class was ranked?

Our fans overstate the LSU basketball program by incredible amounts.

Shaq is basically the singular thing that keeps the program nationally relevant.

A coach that can consistently get LSU to the NCAAT should be treated like gold here because we've only had one streak of 3 consecutive NCAATs in the last thirty years.

I'm not sure we overstate the program. I remember being just on this board during Brady, TJ and CJJ - and there were like 7 of us in game threads.

The potential has always been there, and MBB is a profitable sport for almost every 350+ programs, including LSU. That's why it sucks that we decide not to GAF.

AU, UF, UA, Tenn are 1, 1, 2, 2 seeds right now. The best of the SEC historically is a possibly over-seeded 3 in UK.

There is no reason that couldn't be LSU.
