Maybe the DC's they're looking at don't want to leave before they're bowl game?

My greatest concern is that we are waiting to announce a coaching change for the sole purpose of protecting a departing coach. Miles seems to be a good guy and that is the right thing to do...unless it causes us lose a prospective DC due to timing. In that case, I say that LSU must come first. I hope Miles understands that and, at the end of the day, its his job that is on the line.

So not making an announcement within a week means we're going back to those days?

Yes, let's panic. The sky is falling.

i survived the Hallman years...and here is how it was done. Hallman, Dinardo and maybe Miles are hard headed and resistant to change. Remember, on the average a football coach is not the sharpest pencil in the drawer, but have large ego's. What can the fans do? Do not support garbage with your money.
They understand one thing, making money. When the stands are empty, changes are made. Unless you are Ford or GM and just continue to produce garbage.
Hard facts.
If Miles makes no changes and this continues, then just say I told you so.

No but being vocal and keeping the pressure on will help ensure t hat kind of bs doesn't happen again.

Lou Tepper could be our head coach, Hal Mumme our offensive coordinator, and Mike Shula our defensive coordinator and I'd still travel to watch the Tigers.

I root for LSU. Simple as that.

Amen...fans who only support LSU when they're winning need to move to Bama

I don't think showing the rant, and other LSU fans some sort of proof of what is or isn't happening is the top priority of the LSU staff, up to and including the AD.

Go cheer for Ole Miss you deuchebag. You are the type of fan that gives LSU a bad name. Your probably one of those people that didnt go to the SEC championship game last year cause we lost to AR-Kansas but then somehow decided to go support the team in the National Championship game.

I suggest our coach donate $1 mil of his $4mil plus salary to buy us all a $60 ticket. That might hold the fans over for the time being. That will put 16K plus in the stands. We can all wear "Fear the Hat" shirts in respect for the donor.

And if every fan felt that way, Lou Tepper may actually be the coach. What would be the incentive to get anyone else?

The bottom line is some of you are wetting your pants waiting for an announcement. In your warp little mind, you feel like you have a right to know what's going on behind the scenes and must be told immediately.

Threatening to cancel season tickets or not buying bowl tickets won't make an announcement come any sooner. It only makes you look like a johnny come lately spoiled fan.

I will now step off my soapbox and let you guys continue ranting.

Based upon what? Should Miles have made a change in previous years? Years in which LSU finished #5, #3, and #1.

You are confusing HURRYING with "hard headed". You assume a change must be fast, and announced publicly or it will NOT happen at all. I do not. Nor do I think posting whining bullshite on a website is actually "putting pressure" on the administration. Either a change will be made (as I believe it will) or it won't. Timing is no issue with me.

I expect any and all changes to be in place prior to next Spring Practice. I'll not panic and cry before then.

This is sad. Please move out of state. I support the Tigers not the record. Wins/losses do not determine my fanship. I want people to say "LSU fans travel well and always pack it the stadium." Not "LSU fans show up only when they are winning."

Do you think that a brand new guy who never met any of his players or assistants is going to make material changes in a defensive system in 3 weeks utilizing the same personnel?

I KNOW that any change, even if it was hiring YOU on an interim basis just for the bowl game, would be better than playing this bowl game with Malveto still in place.

This year's bowl and next year's defense have pretty much nothing to do with each other.

No coach who intentionally loses a game will ever have the respect of his players. This bowl game, if Miles intentionally throws it away as it appears he has decided to do, will have everything to do with next year's team as a whole, not just the defense.

What player would ever want to play for a coach who is intentionally scheming to lose games because of personal loyalty to incompetent assistants or neurosis about hiding things from the media?

How many games next year are we even going to TRY to win with this disloyal coach? Divide that by about 3 or 4, and that's how many wins we'll see next year.

your comprehension is poor. I said "maybe" hardheaded. Miles made his mistake with this co-defensive coordinator mess. Now he has to admit it and fix it. That will determine if it is not "maybe". We will see.

I am not crowing. Simply put, money talks and bs walks. I decide where to spend my money.
