All that is left is the baseline pass while jumping out of bounds...

Really had a hard time finishing tonight. Has become a much better defender though and I think needs to shoot more 3’s instead of driving so much. Plays hard though

I kept thinking Quarterman bc he wouldn't pass the ball but Gray is a much better comparison

He’s amazing at splitting the defense and getting through the lane but he refuses to dish it for some reason. There was countless times tonight where the defense would collapse on him leaving Epps/Sampson wide arse open in the corner, but he just said frick errbody I’m gonna be the hero. frick.

Dude can't make a layup to save his life. He will hit a three every now and then but constantly misses shots around the basket.

Waters is what I thought Gray would've been

He’s really up and down on finishing around the rim. It’s very sloppy looking. Tremont is the best finisher since Marcus Thornton. Epps was odd tonight. Our 3 was off in general after the first 10 minutes of the game.

He was uncharacteristicly bad tonight. He'll have better games this year, but that decision to unnecessarily attack the basket after LSU forced a turnover...with the lead late was ill-advised. IMO it was the final turning point which gave UK the win

He reminds me of Austin Rivers early on in his NBA career. Great first move and getting to the rim, just can't finish.

He’s never looking to pass when he drives to the hoop for some reason. It’s frustrating because he’s so good at getting to the rim and creating offense but then he just takes a shite all over it.

So is he playing "just the tip"?

True. But he's generally not a bad finisher, tonight notwithstanding. He just unfortunately had a horrible game. I think he'll have more good than bad moments as the season goes on.

He's been terrible at finishing all season.

He also has to have more charges called on him than any player in the NCAA.

I love his effort and ability to get in the paint but he's clueless once he gets there.

He needs to be able to score at the second level in the half court. He has great body control and finishes well in general, but everyone on the court knows he is going to go all of the way to the rim if you run him off the three point line instead of a one dribble pull up or a floater. Makes him a lot easier to defend than it should be as a guard. BUT, he really improved on his perimeter shooting in the off-season and adjusted quicker than I thought he would to playing off of the ball as much as he is asked to. He's still learning and he puts in the work. The results will come.

I can’t wrap my mind around him. He looks slow and awkward when he is running point. And yet he is able to penetrate almost at will. But every time I think he’s going to ode the ball. He just isn’t smooth at all. But he has moments where he really shines and can change the momentum of the game with a quick steal and drive.

Skylar didn’t look fully engaged tonight. That was a disappointing effort from him for sure.
