It's a shame Jones can't do more with a talent like Simmons in my opinion

This is the kind of nonsense people said and say about Miles until you see the so called superstar receivers drop easy passes and the fan favorite QB overthrows wide open receivers by 10 yards and makes bad decisions.

Couldn't they shoot in college?

He's overrated, but that's only because the pedestal was way too high to begin with. He's a solid player, but best player since Lebron James? Not hardly. Lebron was ready to dominate the day he declared for the draft. Simmons is more of a project that with good coaching can reach his full potential by year 3.

NBA coaches >>> Johnny Jones

You think a kid in college that played basketball his entire life will all of a sudden make a ton of progress on the most basic part of the game, making a mid range jump shot, because he will have superior coaching?

It blows my mind that people still don't understand that this is Bayless' schtick. It would be surprising if he didn't say this.

one that is 6'-10" and can't post up a PF/center in the NBA and can't hit a mid range jumper.
He'll develop those skills. I could see him being deadly if he starts using the glass more on short shots. The amount of arc he uses on them seems like it'd be perfect for those shots.

Without a doubt. And it won't only be because of the coaching.

but neither of them were the ball handlers BS is...one would think BS would have a much better perimeter game since he is a much better ball handler and has played on the perimeter

Simmons needs to stay another season and work on that jump shot. He can do everything else well except shoot the ball consistently from about 15 feet away. Work on that along with more solid defense and he'll be a complete player.

there is nothing wrong with his post up game. I've seen him post up people.

yeah, if he wants to he could, but if he wants to continue further his education and try for a NC idiot, there is nothing wrong with comin back.

What truly amazes me is I would be willing to bet CV has taken more 15-17 ft jumpers than BS has and probably even made more than BS has even attempted.

One thing for Ben is that things came so easy for him in HS. Nobody could guard him and he played with 5 star players every night. He is still coming to grips with the fact that this isn't HS anymore and things are much harder for him at this level....

This just isn't true. Especially for his senior year, where it was him and Noah Dickerson as the only notable players on the team. They routinely beat teams with far better talent though.
