Are you serious? He doesnt need to throw extra pitches and thats what hes doing. Should have never came out for the 7th. Turn it over to the pen.
he would have come out for the 8th. You’re clueless.

I think Skenes goes #1 in this years draft.

As phenomenal as Crews is, a dominant pitcher is more valuable than a center fielder.

So you going to let him throw meaningless pitches against one of the worst teams in the SEC up 8-1? I mean i want him fresh as possible for the stretch run but apparently yall want to keep him pitching till the 9th inning tonite. Where do yall people come from my god?

He threw less than a 100 pitches.

We kept everyone else available for the tomorrow.

What’s the difference between 85 or so pitches and 95? The humanity!

He is conditioned to throw 100+ every game just like an mlb starter. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

Another 12-15 pitches weren’t going make him any less fresh

Learn our team, bro. We need to save arms when we can. We’ll need them the rest of the weekend

Pretty sure the staff knows more about pitch counts for their staff than rant keyboard warriors.

That’s true, but experience tells us that a dominant college pitcher has less of a chance of becoming a dominant MLB pitcher than Crews has of being a great CF.

You have been right in this argument, but you are wrong on this point. Of course 12-15 more pitches would make him less fresh. If not, you could 12 to 15 your way to 1,000 pitches without tiring him out.

Did you watch the game? He wasn’t laboring at 85 pitches. He had 2 “excuse me” hits right before. After the mound visit, he broke off 3 nasty sliders for the strikeout. He has shown he can go up to 115-120 if absolutely needed.

His only mistakes were a walk and a HR.

He could probably throw 150 every Friday and be just fine. He isn't made of glass.
