with them retiring his jersey, painting Manning in big letters in the end zone, etc.......it is only right that we should thank Eli for what he did for us as well.

Runs completely counter to today's mindset of rush 3, cover with 8, and keep the ball in front of you.

Pressure creates mistakes. Yes, you'll get burned once in a while but more often than not you will find the QB in panic mode with happy feet paying way more attention to who is about to clobber him than focusing on who should be open.

You think Ed O’s rush only 4 philosophy ever causes a qb to get stepped on by a lineman?

One of my favorite plays ever from any LSU game is the great effort by Chad Lavalais pushing the Ole Miss offensive lineman into Eli Manning on a big third down play late in the game. That resulted in a loss of yardage by the Rebels.

Considering none of them are under center.

No.

I have to laugh that they are retiring that douche's number. He never really accomplished anything, other than being Archie's boy????????

It was fourth down and resulted in the loss of possession of the football and Ole Miss' last chance to win the game.

I walked out of that stadium next to a teary-eyed Archie.
