Not asking if you think he should stay after 9-4 season. Not asking if you think it’s possible (but it kinda is). Lose to Bama, beat everyone else on the schedule and win a bowl game. Is he fired?

I think he’d get another year. And we would almost certainly regret it.

No. He's gone. He's gone 9-8 over his last 17 games and there are looming Title IX issues as well. He's done and he won't be coaching at LSU next year.

Bowl outcome is irrelevant. If he’s getting fired, it will be the day after the A&M game. An interim would coach the hypothetical bowl.

Maybe it makes firing for cause more believable if it’s done after a good season. Woody playing 3D chess!

I hope we go 9-4, but that shouldn't change anything. The fact that he has to be essentially shamed into doing his job as a HC means he needs to go. He's made bad hires, bad personal decisions and lost the confidence of the admin. You shouldn't have to hit rock bottom before you realize you need to do better.

No, he shouldn't and he won't go 9-4 anyone thinking LSU goes 9-4 is thinking with their heart instead of their head.

If LSU wins out except for Bama, of course he stays. Not sure why anyone would want otherwise. Outside of just being a hater.

the pre season rules that were laid down to O were:

9-3 keep job

8-4 depends how it looks

7-5 fired

woodward has now taken all that off the table.

O is gone regardless

It would be hard to fire him if he beats Ole Miss Arkansas and Aggies. I just dont think they will do it.

No.

Too much consistently demonstrated dysfunction to let O enter as head coach of the 2022 team

I would honestly say I think he would survive. I don’t think he should, but I think he would with that record.

They would have to go 10-3 and beat Bama on the road for there to be a shot at O staying.

No. The trajectory of the program is downward, he’s in over his head and he has to go.

He’s gone. It’s just that with an 8-4 season it’s no so much a firing but “we mutually agreed to part ways” narrative. And maybe O’s done enough to go take over SMU or Memphis.

IF the LSU decision-makers keep that moron, they get what they deserve. Yesterday's win was the result of an emotional appeal to the players. Have you not seen enough of his inept approach to this program? He is out of his element. He is the same clown that he was at Ole Miss. 'Nuff said.

He’s on the Herman Boone plan. The next loss means it’s over
