Listen I’m as woke as the next guy, but let’s be real here: Joe Burrow is the face of LSU and has done more in a three year span that anyone whose ever put ON the purple and gold. How he still doesn’t have (and there’s no plans yet) a statue on campus is mind boggling.
With yall due respect to Simone, it’s JOE who should be put up in bronze, hell Gold for all I care, but he shouldn’t have to wait behind anybody

LSU WBB has 5 conf championships, Seimone was primary player in 3 of them. LSU WBB has 5 Final Four appearances, Simone was primary player in 3 of them. From 2002-2006, She was LSU WBB.
Joe deserves a statue as well, but don't act as if this isn't deserved.
Seimone was LSU from day 1. Born and raised in Baton Rouge. She was compared to MJ in Sports Illustrated before ever stepping foot on campus. In 05-06, she won every collegiate award back to back, 1st pick in WNBA draft, Rookie of the year, has 4 WNBA championships, an 8 time all star, All NBA 1st team, and her jersey is retired as LSU.
Joe did great things in his time here, but he was a transfer, a OH transplant that was fully embraced by the community. Got us another Heisman and a Natty. Set tons of records, and will do great things in the NFL. He ultimately deserves to be memorialized in bronze in the shadows of Tiger Stadium.
Again, don't act like Seimone doesn't deserve this.

Seimone has been gone for almost 2 decades coming up and had a wildly successful WNBA career getting 4 titles and being an 8x all-star.
You dont get statues a couple years after you're gone, almost never works that way. Joe will probably get his statue after he's done in the NFL or after a decade or two in it.

Yeah like 15 years before him lol. Joe is gonna get his statue, things like that don't typically happen three years after leaving a program. People need to calm down.

Not sure Joe ever gets one tbh. I’d be supportive but he was only here 2 years.
And if it does happen, it won’t be for another decade. They wait to make sure they continue to have a good public image I think and remaining an upstanding member of the community.
