Did LSU try to get him?

He was committed to McNeese for a long time and flipped to Texas late in the process.
At the time we had Travinski, Milazzo, and Ray Torres committed.

Says he’s from Moss Bluff, but he is originally from Ville Platte.

I'm sure Sam Houston recruited him away
He's no better than Milazo offensively

He's no better than Milazzo? Batting .247 with 31 RBIs. How is that not better?

Silas is hitting 100 points higher, that is significant. Both are outstanding defensively.

I doubt it. There's soo many jobs in the Lake Charles area because of construction, they may have moved for that reason.

Was committed to LA Tech before Texas. Never McNeese.

Earlier today I was talking to a friend of the family that raised Silas. According to him LSU never showed any interest.

He is from Ville Platte, his dad is Danny Ardoin who played in the majors for a while

Danny was a hell of a defensive catcher

Pretty sure Silas had a cousin that played here for a few years before transferring to ULM.

You’re thinking of Shane Ardoin. Don’t believe they are related although from the same hometown. There’s a lot of Ardoin families in that area.

LSU never showed interest. That’s a fact. I posted on this 18 months or so ago. Not sure what Texas saw that LSU did not see.

He's elite for a freshman behind the plate. Kid progresses with the bat and he's one of the best catchers going.

Shouldn't have missed on him..
