He's sitting out because of his ankle. He has tried multiple times to play through it. Time to protect himself. Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe you should tweet them to let'em know LF's situation?

No longer part of the team is the issue/problem. He is supposed to be one of the leaders of the team.

He had 2 weeks of rest and then had a monster game against Ole Miss. He hasn't played in over a month and decided to sign with an agent in the meantime. To anyone outside of the program, I can see how it might appear that Fournette might be letting his team down.

Yes, he tried to play there, and anyone with eyes could see that he was not even close to 100%.

No, respect has diminished because he signed with an agent before the end of the yearand blew off his last commitment to cheer his teammates EVEN IF HURT..
shite move, worthy of being called out. Should not have been done, period...
I am a huge LF7 fan but horribly disappointed in his terrible decision...

I saw that Guice could fumble inside the 5 and go the wrong way on the biggest play of the game, yet still be more effective.

I am not anti-Fournette by a long stretch, but I have felt that LSU has been a better team w Guice on the field.

With that said, Fournette plays for a future, and Guice just plays, period.

First here is why people are a little perturbed with LF. Ok we understand you're hurt that's great your not playing and want to protect your draft status, I fully understand and respect that. Going and saying your not going to play and pretty much signs with an agent the next day, is the problem. Show your a good teammate and support your team. He could have waited a couple of weeks, rooted for your team and moved on, but he didn't do that. Pretty much said FU I'm out, duces I'm going get my paycheck. That's pretty much why people are feeling rubbed the wrong way with LF, but I wish him all the luck in his future endeavors.

And Cook, too.

Making business decisions doesn't always make the decision better for business.

I guess we'll see.

I'm not sure either way, but hard to pull for the guy that isn't even on your team, by his own choice.

This is why there is all of the controversy. Is Jabrill Peppers really too hurt to play in the Orange bowl or did he manage it smarter? If Fournette doesn't sign with an agent and broadcast it around the world then show pictures of his daughter saying in essence "this is what I have to take care of" then there is no big controversy. If he simply comes out as hurt no one blinks. The optics are bad on LF7's decision.

He can do whatever he wants to do but with those decisions come consequences. Does he care about the consequences? Probably not.

Peppers took the shitty and pussy way out! He copped out right before the game instead of being a man and saying he isn't playing. Get ready boys, this is just the being!

Everyone on this board trashed Simmons for what he did last year, and Fournette did basically the same thing.

LF sold out. Get the frick over it. It's football. You're never 100% and he choose to not risk injury rather than playing the last game for LSU and did so for his personal gain. Personally I don't give a shite because he doesn't owe the university anything considering how much money he's made them. But stop pretending like this is a he can't play he's hurt situation. No, he's not playing because he's scared to get hurt and cost him money.

Yeah, until next season around this time if LSU is not in the playoff picture.

Don't fool yourself. I appreciate these guys as much as anyone, but college football is a business. Players can and should look out for their own best interest. It's only gonna get more common from here on out. Could LF have waited a couple more weeks? Sure. But he's got a baby and a baby mamma to take care of, not to mention his own family. For a kid who's come from pretty much nothing, Jay Z's front money is awfully hard to pass up. Dude is gonna make millions.

Next year NO ONE will even remember this and LF will be rich as frick! Who gives a good got damn. If these players are first rounders and are hurt they better not play! Now I don't agree with him signing early bc that shite could have waited period BUT there is NO parent in this thread that would tell their son to play with any kind of injury if he's a first rounder UNLESS and that's maybe if he was playing for a national championship, MAYBE. Even that isn't worth your career sorry. Now if you are healthy then I disagree with it altogether. GT

They made sure they ran that talking point into the ground tonight. Sure they could have mentioned LF was fighting a nagging injury but he quit the team before the end of the season so he could sign with an agent.
