the news of a couple recruits not making it to campus because of academics has me down right furious. Playing football at LSU is a privilege, not a right. I believe if a kid has below a 3.0 we shouldn’t even consider recruiting him.. sure it would take some guys off the board but I’m sure we could still find some guys that could take it to the house... hell might even find some kids who are really hungry and over looked but have great work ethic and are pretty sharp. Like my son, he might not run a 4.2 but shite he can Atleast pass algebra and I promise he’d play his guts out for coach o and the state of Louisiana. Just venting after the news

Who didn't make it to campus?

I'm pretty sure it was on the radio this morning or Moscona's show that every single person in the class made it to campus

If they used that method LSU would be Vanderbilt.

Video tape those high school games, because that's where his football career ends.

When you get 90,000 people to show up to watch someone pass algebra, your son may have a shot.

Would you rather the team average 3 or 4 wins a year as long as they had above a 3.0 team GPA? Honest question.

In 1983, I passed Algebra, and Physics, too. I couldn't run a 4.2, I barely hit my weight and had a decent glove. I would've played my guts out for Skip, done the laundry, and carried the equipment, but he didn't even think about looking at me, and rightfully so. You're right, it is a privilege.

So you are ok with 8-5 or 7-6 every year.
