Rabalais is one of the most well regarded, well respected columnists in Louisiana. Now, he could have written this piece for clicks(internet attention) but he hardly EVER stirs up stuff with his columns. LINK

Sounds like a personal letter to Miles. Good thing he doesn't read the Sports page

This letter is written to LSU fans as much as anyone else.

IF CLM leaves we have ourselves to thank or blame.

The oddity is that there may be those who accept the thanks and then a few years down the road will be forced to accept the blame

Oh good God.

Who gets paid 4.5 Million a year and leaves because he isn't appreciated. Do you not see the irony in that statement?

If he wants to go. He will go. If not, then he won't. Either way, LSU is gonna be fine. Looking at Miles tenure, I'd say he left the program right where he inherited...set to make a run for a National Title over the next 2 years. Now Miles was unable to win one with those teams. Can the new coach do better?

Grousing on this Board will not mean Le Miles is treated poorly by the overall fan base. I believe the overall fan base sees Miles for what he is a "good" coach and an "excellent" recruiter and program organizer.

If Miles leaves, it will be for his own reasons. Frankly, we pay him what he is worth and support this team to the hilt. It is time to stop beating ourselves up for something these well paid and idolized proms donnas might do.

That's the dumbest fricking thing I've ever heard. We are to blame if he leaves for his alma mater? Why? Because we pay him like a top five coach and have him under contract for seven years at a time?

It is insane to suggest that LSU or its fans have anything to do with Les leaving.

Actually I believe Rabalais is poking some of our fans in the eye with that article. There is really no reason to write that other than to get a reaction.

Will the guilt be too much for you to overcome?

You caused him to leave. You brought this upon us.

Are you going to hang yourself above your toilet if miles leaves because of your actions as an LSU fan?

What a great article to print just as a great recruiting class is getting ready to be hauled in. You can bet all the other schools will be pushing this article on all the recruits that have committed to us or are interested in us.Whether he goes or not, this article hurts.

"Buffet" Rabalais may just be bucking for an ACME spot at the Bowl-Buffet, take a look at that mug, he could lend some jowls to folks....slap dem jowls and don't think he ain't trying to be negative-relavant.

It's not that he's under-appreciated.. the fans just wants him to utilize his talents appropriately. They want him to deviate away from that 70s offense. The A&M game is an example of how plays like the jet sweeps will open up both the run and pass- that is great. Running the toss-dive over and over again into a brick wall (and hope it will break for a big gain) is not going to work all the time. He's riding on the defense to make his stubborn offense work. If we had a high-powered offense along with that top 10 defense.. it would be problematic for every team we play.

When he marches the team out with the same exact game plan every game, ever year.. I can understand why fans get super pissed.
