IDC what Vandy or Tenn did. I personally subscribe that you win 2/3 with an occasional sweep, you’re winning 20+ games an a Top 8 seed from this conference. Hell, Ole Piss nearly didn’t make the freaking tourney LAST season.
Coach Bertman ALWAYS subscribed to the 2/3 philosophy ESPECIALLY on the road.

You do realize they didn’t replace their starter today with a typical reliever right? The lefty that came in will probably be their Saturday guy starting next week. He’s a true freshman that has been starting midweeks and he’s obviously ready for weekend starts. He looked great

Umps will suck all year and they hurt A&M as much as they hurt us. Hopefully the weather was part of the reason for the poor pitching.

Up 4-0 early is nothing
I agree that it sucks to Lose when you get the early lead, but cmon this ain’t like losing when you’re up 4+ in the 8th and 9th

Absolutely.
Sweeps are lagniappe. The goal is to win the series in conference.
And you actually don’t need a single sweep to win 20 conference games if you win every series. (Although I will say a sweep helps to mitigate the random series most teams will inevitably lose)

Cooper is a fireman. He’s good for 2-3 batters when you really need a stop.

Hurd pitched well in the 2022 season before his injury. I wouldn’t call him unproven.
