The problems this year were mainly scheme oriented, lack of game planning and lack of adjustments.

House is in charge of all that. I'm not a big fan of Steeples but House should have been fired immediately after A&M game if not sooner. Need to give the fans and recruits hope that Kelly wants to improve the D

Another "schemer". You can't schene nothing if you don't have the players because of injuries, lack of numbers and the right athletes. House couldn't even "scheme" nikel and dime packages most of the year because of that.

You are no football coach, you don't have access to the players, the coaches meeting and the film room. Your post is meaningless.

My guess is that BK has his eyes in some coaches who are playing in bowl games for defensive changes???

Every element of our defense was bad. The scheme was bad. Everyone needs to go.

In my 40 years of watching LSU football , I have never seen a more inept defense…and I have seen some bad ones.

When your defense is so bad that your offense has to score a touchdown almost every single possession, you can’t dignify it by calling it a defense. Curley Hallman had better defenses. Let that set in.

dump the whole bunch. I didn't see a lick of competence anywhere on D side of the ball.
Awful teaching/coaching ability, not to mention awful laid back semi prevent defensive schemes, especially on 3rd down. And they never changed...one trick ponies apparently.

I think the options are (1) replace all the assistants (2) replace House as well as the assistants.

In any case, an offering needs to be made. It really doesn’t matter if it’s not the coaches fault at all. When it is this bad, somebody has to get fired. If it’s about players being so bad that House should be excused, okay but isn’t he supposed to be fixing that with recruiting? House doesn’t seem to be winning that battle either.

Then how do you explain the lack of execution? The defense was constantly lining up wrong, out of position, lost in coverage, couldn't tackle, etc. That has nothing to do with scheme. Those breakdowns are a sure sign of poor coaching.

You really think you know about how football works on defense but your post tells me you absolutely don't know anything about basic defensive football or football in general. I read a lot of stupid ignorant post but this one takes the cake. You are saying Brain Kelly who has been a big time winning football coach everywhere he has coached hired an ENTIRE defensive staff that was totally incompetent. Is that your statement? That's what I am reading.

How old are you are you a child? Not one coach on defense? Oh and you are yet another "scheme" clown. I will tell you the same I have told all you "schemers". YOU CAN'T SCHEME JACK SHITE IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT OR ENOUGH PLAYERS TO RUN THESE MYTHICAL "SCHEMES" YOU SCHEMERS THINK WOULD HAVE WON US A NATTY.
