Glory days...
they'll pass you by
Glory days
Glory daaaaa-aaaaays.....

There's always high school memories Shep. Don't hate on LSU because you weren't big enough to take a pounding at RB, weren't elusive enough to be a returner and didn't have the hands to play receiver. You were a jack of all trades, but a master of none. We love you for being a Tiger, but get off your soap box and act like the ambassador you were as a freshman.

It's probably best for him to keep it quiet. Why burn bridges?

Burn bridges? He's not the only one talking about the offense. Even guys who had more success than him trash our offense.

Terrence Toliver
Reuben Randle
Ryan Baker

Its all pointing towards "the hat", which we know is you-know-who.

I do not. For 4 years I've been waiting every weekend for that breakout game. I will miss that. If the Saints draft him, I can continue my "Shep is due" vigil.

I find it funny that people knock Shep's ability to throw.

People around here agree that Kansas State QB Colin Klein throws like shite right?

The guy was a Heisman contender at KState.

Terrelle Pryor has a very unimpressive arm right? Dude scored 3 tds in his 1st start this past weekend (still looked bad doing...but still.)

However, I blame Shep for his problems at LSU. He shouldnt have quit and given up his dreams of playing QB. Ok...he struggled passing his 1st year in practice.

I saw Braxton Miller throw as a freshman in spring practice. Dude was terrible. But you know what? Enough reps....he got better...not great, but better. Add in his athleticism...he's a star QB in college.

Same thing with Denard Robinson. No way you could convince me he was good enough to play college QB as a freshman. Dude got good enough to have some quality years in college...now preparing to transition to another position.

The irony is...

Denard Robinson may suck at WR/RB just as much as Shep. But because he was so dominant in the college spread...an NFL team is going to give him a shot at WR before they do Shep.

Shep's hands were too small to be a QB in college. Shep's one of my favorite players an I wish we could have seen more of him, but he wasn't a QB in any system.

Never had it, never will; he is a good guy but he was indeed a flop.

I wouldn't call him a "flop". He wasn't a complete bust. He just wasn't good enough to do any one thing very good. And the fact that he's been crying about it for over a year, threatening to write a book, etc is just childish. Sour grapes.

There's no reason why the guy was virtually absent on the field his entire career. Maybe he wouldn't have made it at qb, but for people to say he couldn't have balled if we used him the right way is just stupid. Listening to these morons trying to explain why he didn't play is typical of our fan base

Threatening to write a book? Dudes a business man and marketer. He can make a ton of money writing a book on behind the scenes of what happened to a former top prospect. Every single LSU fan would buy it. Everyone is saying Shep dropped balls. I'd bet Bowe and Devery has more than triple the drops.

No one shines in the LSU offense. Even truly great players with a well defined role disappear for huge stretches. Shepard is a utility player without a well defined role and not nearly enough creativity on the offensive coaching staff to figure out how to use him. Not saying he'd have been amazing elsewhere, but he had absolutely 0 shot of producing anything at LSU with this offensive staff.

Wow. He really seems to be saying he made a mistake coming to LSU"

No-that's just the poor- assed conclusion you made up to instigate crap about a former LSU player.

Don't be a drama queen.

Shep trolled the idiots with his book writing BS. They fell for it too.

Are people really arguing that Shep would not have excelled in Chip Kelly's offense?

Shepard would just be another fast skinny dude in that O. He lacks anything that makes one think he was better. He was the fastest QB and made a bunch of plays in HS, he did not pan out at LSU. And this was supposed to be a leader of this team.

Miles has his share of problems, one may be his inability to foster leadership in his players.
